Ok, how do you figure out which ancient civilization the thousand year old mysterious bronze key came from if you skipped the boring parts?

I can pretty much tell everything there is I need to know just by examining artifacts. Me and my sis have these competitions over who finds out everything first by just looking at it.

Going only for things like golden idols and precious gems, while completely ignoring other artifacts and causing irrevocable damage to archaeological sites. Please tell me you don't skip the parts about meticulously cataloging every artifact, including bits of pottery and bone. Or writing a thorough report on your findings. A lot of ponies might think THAT sort of thing is boring, but it's also very important.

I don’t find it boring. After all, I manage to juggle that, my school curriculum,  being awesome, and saving the world all the time. How could anypony find it boring when I’m the one making it sound awesome?
