Dante couldn't keep the smirk off his face. What were the odds that the sexy stranger from the coffee shop would end up in his hospital a couple days later. He strolled further into the room, picking up her clipboard. "You slipped? You should be more careful."
He put her clipboard back down and approached the side of her bed. "Yeah, it's tiring, workin' all these hours, taking care of people who slip and fall on grease." He said, his smirk growing. "So Desiree, anything you need?"
General Hospital|
The deeper voice that called out from the closed curtain made her scowl. Desiree wasn’t a serious woman, but she just didn’t take too well when teasing came into the picture, especially by some man that she didn’t even know. “More like Kali,” she responded and lifted herself slightly despite the pain shooting up from her leg, ready to give him a piece of her mind. But when the curtains shifted and revealed the handsome man she met at the coffee shop Desiree’s jaw drop as she blinked away her temper.
"I didn’t do this to myself," Desiree snapped, folding her arms over her chest to cover the hideous hospital gown, not that it mattered. "I, uh, slipped," she shrugged, she remembered that he said he worked at the hospital but she thought that maybe he was just a volunteer or something, not a doctor and not serving the older woman that she shared a room with. "So this is why you needed coffee, I guess."

Thankful, today wasn't to hectic at the hospital. Dante only had two emergency calls and they happened in the early hours of the morning; when most of the bad accidents happen. He was getting pretty tired, but not too tired. He told himself a long time ago that he wouldn't work until he was too tired. Yawning and rubbing a hand over his face, he picked up the clipboard off the back of his patient's door before walking into the room. "Okay, Ms. Jenkins, you take your caplets four times a day and the pain should go away." He said, flashing a charming smile at the older woman. She smiled and thanked him before waddling out of the room.
Dante was about to follow suit when he heard a voice call out from the other side of the shared room. His brows furrowed a bit. "Is that you, Jesus?" He joked, approaching the other side of the room. He pulled the curtain back and almost dropped the clipboard in his hand when he saw Desiree laying in the bed with her foot propped up. "Shit," He chuckled, walking into the room. "What did you do to yourself?"
General Hospital|
Desiree hated hospitals. Then again, there wasn’t a lot of people who loved hospitals, except for maybe the staff, but she doubted that they wanted to be here twenty four-seven. She was willing to accept the responsibility of never having to go to the Hospital again other than for friends and family births, that’s it. However, as she found herself reclined on the hospital bed there wasn’t much for her to do but sulk and attempt to ignore the pain shooting up from her right leg.
Maybe it was best for the crew of O’Briens to take her to the hospital, as much as she moaned that she’d be alright if they just took her home and gave her a bag of ice, but her ankle was swollen and started to bruise. Slipping on grease was a constant struggle in the kitchen, but she was the only one that managed to hurt herself.
Desiree heard footsteps approaching the door to her shared hospital room even as she stared up at the ceiling. “So I can go now right?”

"Your confidence in me is very refreshing. Pleasure, I'm Dante."
"Well don’t think too hard. When you come to the right decision, do let me know, so that I know whether to expect you there at the show or not…Name’s Vie, by the way."

Hmm, I'll think about it.

Depends, is that an invitation?
"Such a good rehearsal today…and even though there is still several weeks to go, I can’t wait for opening night. Will you be there?"

Yeah, I guess you could say that. I like buying and driving them.
"Are you into cars?"

Thanks. It's a 2014 Beamer, not the best but I was looking for something a little settle.
"I don’t know much about cars, but it’s a beauty."

Yeah well, believe it or not- it's not my first time having coffee spilled in my lap.
"Sorry about that. I didn’t really, uhm, mean to do that."

"Desiree." Dante repeated, trying the name out on his own tongue. Pretty name for a pretty girl- of course he didn't say that out loud, as it would be the corniest thing ever, but he believed it. He bit down on his lip slightly while he watched her smile. She had the most seductive lips. "I like it." He said, a small smile spreading over his lips. "Nice to meet you, Desiree. I'm Dante." He jested, holding a hand out for her to shake.
"Good," she gave him a wicked grin, raising a brow, "If there is a next time." Desiree almost forgot how much she enjoyed flirting, hiding behind large kitchen doors and usually covered in fast food grease and baggy clothes made her feel a bit less… fun. Even now, her hair pulled up into a messy bun and her hands folded over sweatshirt and jeans made her feel a bit at odd ends, flirting with a handsome stranger. "That we did," she nodded, grinning again- she thought about not telling him her real name, but throwing caution to the wind, she smiled and said, "Desiree."

Dante chuckled softly, "Alright, I'll remember to miss you next time. If there is a next time." He said, smirking. He was definitely hoping there would be a next time. Dante took another drink of his tea while looking at nameless woman. "It's funny, I never thought of myself as a tea man." He joked, rubbing his hand over the stubble on his chin. "So, we found something I like. Will you tell me your name now?" He raised a brow.
Desiree didn’t want to read too deeply into his comment, or stare too strongly into his eyes, or think too hard about his lips pressing along the warm mugs she gave him. It had been too long since she allowed herself to flirt so outwardly, her stage persona, Sonia was much better at it and maybe that’s who she used today as she met his beautiful eyes. “Maybe I do,” she smirked, “Who wouldn’t?” He was charming, extremely charming, maybe a little too charming, but there was no harm in a little bit of flirting… was there? Not like with her track record anything would happen from it. “Do you?” she smiled and clasped her hands together, “Good- so maybe you’ll do better with a more tea base than coffee,” Desiree grinned and paused, “Chai tea is my favorite too.”

"Whatever you got I'll taste." He replied. The comment was totally suggestive. Most of the things that come out of his mouth are suggestive actually. Meeting and seducing women never was a problem for Dante, and from the way the sexy strange woman kept glancing at him suggested that maybe she was close. When she got up he took the opportunity to fully check her out; he liked what he saw. Really liked what he saw. He adverted his gaze quickly as she came back towards their table. "Why, do you want me to?" He raised a brow and smirked before taking a drink from one of the cups she put down. "Ok, this must be the machi-whatsaname. I can taste the coffee." He said. It tasted a lot better than his originals coffee though. He put down that cup and picked up the other one, his blue eyes meeting hers as he took a drink. Dante nodded his head in approval, "I like this one." He said, a small smile pulling at his lips.
"You might do better with caffeinated tea," she grinned at him, staring a bit too long before blinking quickly and stood up. Desiree was not expecting to have an afternoon filled with sharing her choices of drinks with a handsome stranger who probably already knew the effect he had on her. And she was doing so well with not flirting with anyone and trying to gather an army of girl friends instead of messing with guys and probably getting her heart broken- but he made it so difficult. She took one last glance back at him before turning to the cashier and ordered him a regular latte macchiato and a chai latte just in case. Once the cashier took his money she walked back to the table and sat down again, "Missed me?"

Dante pursed his lips and looked to the board with the drinks. He sat back in his seat and crossed his arms, watching the attractive woman in front of him. Although coffee experimenting should have been the last thing on his schedule, it came with a sexy plus. "I guess I'll take the latte, anything that is coffee but doesn't taste like coffee is good for me."
Desiree fought to keep from looking at him and his gorgeous smirk, that smile was so damn distracting as if he already knew he caught her attention and held it there on a ledge. “Well there’s two different kinds- there’s the lattee and the cafe’-” She started to explain, ginning as he slid her the bill and she took it in her hands, folding it slightly just to find something to do with them. “The lattee has a more milky taste as opposed to the coffee taste, which is the cafe’.” She tilted her head up at him, “So, cafe’ or lattee’?”

"Yeah, you definitely should." He agreed. Although she seemed very jittery for obvious reasons, he found her amusing. Rubbing his hand over the stubble on his face, he shrugged. "It never works. Watching tv before work is distracting. You'll be thinking about what you just watched and not the essays, y'know?" He said.
Darby took another swig from the mug of coffee, tilting her head back slightly for velocity purposes, or something. She stopped dead when he mentioned that he might be the one with Mono, nearly choking on the drink. She let out a sigh of relief when the man clarified that he didn’t, swallowing before putting the cup down with wide eyes. “You know, I didn’t even think about that. I should really start asking strangers for their medical records before I steal their caffeinated beverages.” The girl nodded glumly at his suggestion. “You’re probably right. That would be the responsible thing to do. Although… if it’s only one episode…”

If she was trying to hide how she watched him take off his jacket, she wasn't doing a good job at. His smirk only widened when she met his gaze. Dante laughed softly when she refused him. "Alright, deal." He replied to the captivating woman. "Already did." He mumbled to himself when she looked away, checking her out a little. Dante adverted his gaze when she looked back. "What the hell is a macchiato?" He asked, but nonetheless pulled his wallet out of his back pocket and slid her a ten dollar bill.
It couldn’t be helped, she found herself watching him take off his jacket and felt no shame in the deed, only the curve of her neck rising in heat a little as she met his gaze again. Too fast- she thought to herself as she pressed a finger to her lips in contemplation of his next drink- maybe he wasn’t flirting with her, just being nice. “No names,” she quirked a brow at him, “Not until I can find something you like….” She paused and looked towards the board of drinks from their little table, “How about a macchiato?”

Dante pursed his lips into a smile, "Help yourself." He said, motioning for her to take the cup. "If this is the good stuff I would hate to see the bad stuff." He said, leaning back in his chair. "You're gonna drink it straight...just like that?"
Vie tried to bite back a small smile at the look of his disgusted face. “Don’t hate on the coffee…it’s like my personal elixir of life. Without it, I’d perish,” she admonished him, making a reach for the cup. “If you’re not gonna drink it, then I will - no since in wasting the good stuff.”
