Do you think that there will be story mode for JD2026?

I can't be so sure for certain, I don't want to get my hopes up like I did last year, so I'll say that MAYBE there will be a storymode this year

With the hidden message the JD team did, there could be a storymode or they'll do what they did with In Your Eyes, just one main lore song but idk yet, gotta wait for the previews (maybe next month or towards the end of this month?)

Actually. I was thinking and.

I think if we’re getting something (tangentially) Kpop Demon Hunters related in Just Dance, I think the most likely right now (I.e. for 2026 basegame) would be Strategy.

It’s been out for a while now, so it doesn’t suffer from “came out right before teasers” issues, and it’s still KDH related (though of course they likely wouldn’t know of KDH’s incoming popularity yet when selecting songs).

We seem to get at least one Kpop song each year, so this could fall into that slot too. (I’m hoping for a few more this year since I like the kpop choreos but don’t like Pink Venom as a song, so 2025 wasn’t great for me in terms of kpop)

I CAN START POSTING WEEKLY THOUGHTS ABOUT PREVIEWS NOW AAAAA!!!!!!!

Preview season just doesn't hit the same when I'm at home unemployed and don't have to watch the previews on my phone while hiding in the bathroom at work or in the hallway at school but this year looks GOOD off the bat

APT (Graffiti Version): Ok ok it's an alt so maybe we can STILL get a version with Jack Rose because its a Bruno Mars song. I'm not a huge fan of this song but I can tell its gonna be like Espresso where the map makes me like it. So good! So cute! Such a vibe! All three of the backgrounds in this batch look great so I'm gonna have high expectations for the rest of them lol. LOVE the coach too! All three of the coaches on the game cover drawing I'm obsessed with. The choreo looks fun too! Not easy but might be one where I can follow along well enough after a couple plays and I'll love it.

Counting Stars: OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDDD I'm so excited I'm SO EXCITED!!!!! I like the song, it's not something I thought would ever make a good JD map but I CANT WAIT FOR THISSSSS let's be real I'll love anything that has a funky celestial aesthetic. The background is GORGEOUS. The coach design is FANTASTIC. I already wanna cosplay him. I'm gonna give him so much lore whether he has any in canon or not. Oh my god. Oh my god I love it. I need the full map NOW. The background is giving Eternyx and all the gold celestial stuff has circles kind of like Traveler and Wanderlust's whole thing?? Maybe I'll make a different post ranting about any and every possible lore connection. I'm obsessed. I love him. I love it. I'm obsessed. I- oh yeah I should also mention the choreo. It's the kind of mostly-gesturing choreo a lot of less dancey songs have but I think it's pretty good still? Wont be my favorite choreo or anything but I think I'll have fun dancing that while foaming at the map over the visuals

All Star: WE GOT ALL STARRRRRR!!!! This also looks so fun. At first glance it just looks like a silly goofy trolly kids map but now that we have the full preview it looks really good?? Like the dynamic background and the scene changes and everything? The coach designs are fun too, like they really took the silly goofy just dance vibe and went ham with it. Its giving high school tiktokers convincing their goofy old man science teacher to do a tiktok dance with them and I love it. I already know those three are best friends, the two with purple hair are twins and hat guy is the girl's gamer boyfriend. I love them so much how the hell am I gonna pick a main. Some maps really feel like classic just dance but with new just dance quality and this is one of them. Oh I'm so excited

Also my negativity for the week: I HATE the ubisoft original they're picking for their ads this year. Its so bad. I'm so not looking forward to hearing "dance dance dance hurry up and take your chance" at the end of every preview. Girl you will NEVER be If You Wanna Party

Alright guys, leak season has officially kicked off. Just some basic reminders:

Don't put leaks in your fanmade songlists, and if you do, disclose it clearly and off the bat

Be wary of fanmade songlists in case they include undisclosed leaks anyway, and if you notice oddly specific "guesses" being repeated in multiple videos (as in, that aren't super popular highly requested or current songs), stop watching the channels because they're probably including leaks

Don't put leaks in a thumbnail or video title

Don't share leaks as a joke or because you think it's funny to make people mad

Make sure you check the rules of where you're posting before you share a leak (i.e. Discord servers), and even if they're allowed, spoiler tag and warn every time anyway even if "everyone's already seen it" unless you're in a space specifically for leaks

Don't start commenting "welcome to Just Dance" under leaked songs, particularly popular ones where other Just Dance fans have a genuine chance of stumbling across it by accident

I repeat: TAG YOUR LEAKS. And in the case of Tumblr, put them under a "read more" cut too just to be safe since there's not a built in spoiler feature.

Don't egg on people for not wanting to see leaks or being anti-leak

This is coming from someone who runs to every single leak like it's free candy. It's not hard to respect other people!! You can look at leaks and still have common courtesy!!
