Oh! Long time no see to you too, Kiyo! Hey, did you see my other Inkling sprite edit? Mizu Shoraita, protagonist of my newest fangan? I think I did a good job of representing an Inkling while still keeping in line with the Danganronpa style, but what do you think?

I did see the sprite! I think you did well translating the character into the style, especially considering the difference between the large shapes of tentacles and the fine lines typically used for hair in Danganronpa sprites. The outfit also fits in decently, though simple.

Design-wise, good work!

Long time no see! Let me take a look.

I think the shapes of the clothing looks alright. Wrinkles can be a struggle and take time and practice to get right consistently.

I recommend looking at photos of clothing on people and seeing the differences between different fabrics or where the folds lie. I have some examples from sprites I've done recently below the cut.

It's more on the sleeves but this can be applied to the pants since it's just notes on fabric behavior/patterns.

For example, this sleeve is on a baggy shirt that is rolled up. The fabric wraps around the arm, sort of balloons at the bottom before being gathered in the cuff. It's also a thin fabric, so there's thin creases where fabric overlaps.

This fabric is thicker, so it creases less. Where it does crease, the wrinkles are thicker and bulkier.

Notice how where fabric bunches up, wrinkles are thicker because more fabric is overlapping. When fabric is thinner, there is less overlap.

I hope this helps! You're on the right track with this.

Hello everyone. It's been some time.

I can only speak on my absence, so please do not ask me about Mod Kirumi. I have also updated my intro, which is linked in the pinned post.

I have been focusing on my classes more than requests. I have another sprite request blog that I've been quiet on as well. On top of that, I have been working on my art as a whole. I've come to the point that last year I opened up commissions, so most of the sprites I have drawn have been for clients instead of requesters. I've also gone through some life changes, but that's something I'll go into detail on.

I cannot say whether I will be frequently filling requests here, but I will say that I've been checking the inbox and hope to (at some point) get back to fulfilling requests. I love seeing people's original characters and being able to draw them, and this blog is a way of doing that. Also, I am happy to see sprites that are sent in the inbox, even if I don't answer the ask. I still enjoy giving advice or viewing what is shared.

Thank you for your patience, and if you still frequently check this blog I thank you for that as well.

(As a note, it feels a bit odd using these sprites as responses again. Maybe I can make something smaller to use in responses.)

Hello, Mod Kokichi here!

It's been really fun but i have to say that I am officially leaving the blog as a mod. This is for completely personal reasons. I am cutting off chunks on my plate and I haven't posted any updates or sprites in almost a year so I think now would be as good a time as ever. School and other projects I have to do have taken priority and I now need to focus more on them.

It's alright! Most of us mods do sprites edits on other accounts! For example @glow-maeda (unsure if korekiyo has reopened requests) or for me @lilith-editzzz !

Hello, I'd like to say I'm taking a small hiatus

My grandma whom I'm close with is dying. She is in congestive heart failure due to poorly prescribed pain meds from a new doctor. It isn't curable and I'm not going to be doing requests for the time being till she at least gets out of the hospital

Hey could I request a talent swap sprite edit of byakuya as the ultimate gambler and toko as the ultimate fanfic creator. I feel like they have a similar dynamic to hifumi and celeste so I don’t know I kinda wanted to see it lol

This design was lovely, detailed, and a very entertaining practice. I love the color scheme. On another note, I do hope I interpreted the design correctly. I wonder what their ultimate would be?

I know it may be unusual to put a work in progress on this blog, but with long silences I feel it may be better to at least show my progress. I have finals coming up rather soon, but afterward I hope to have time to work on some more sprites.
