CH.1+body discovery

We all searched the castle until Monokuma had announced it was ‘nighttime’. “I say we meet up in the morning and search some more.” Michi suggested to the rest of us. “Ya, I agree. There has to be an exit, maybe it’s just hidden.” The spy, kora stated. There were hums and nods of approval from the rest of us as we parted ways for the night.

When the morning announcement went off we all made our way to the dining hall.

“Are we sure this stuff isn’t poisoned?” Asked the small author “I mean it looks fine.” The firefighter inspected some leafy vegetables. “the bear did say we were supposed to live here…” the girl who didn’t have a talent spoke up. “I could perform some tests, but that could take awhile.” The chemist suggested, pushing up his glasses. “I say we just try it, I’m pretty hungry.” The party planner moved toward some ingredients.

After we ate we were called to the gym by monokuma “upupu, this game gettin’ pretty boring so i say we should spice it up!” “you're talking about the...killing game? The poet asked hesitantly. “of course, what other game would it be?” the bear shimmied around a bit before continuing. “This brings us to why i called this assembly~” he paused again. “The motive~”. “M-motive?” “that's right, I've decided to leak some super secret information to you all~.” we were all quiet, waiting for the bear to continue. “I’m not the one in control of this game--” “what do you mean? You're the one who trapped us here.” Kai retorted “oh really? I thought i was just a robot, one of yous is the one in charge~” “w-what?!” “that's right! There's a Mastermind among you, if you kill the mastermind, you all get to leave isn't that great!” “mastermind?!” jiro exclaimed “who is it?!” Michi spun around to face us. “ upupu, i can’t tell you that! It’d ruin all the fun!” paranoia seemingly swept across the gym as the bear left.

Chap.1 event:

It was the third day we’ve been here, the day after monokuma gave us the motive, unease was present in the dining hall, although we tried to keep everything normal. We all decided we would split up and search again, but the hope for finding an exit was dwindling.

After we ate i decided to go to the gym with a few others.

The seven of us looked around for a bit before Misami sat on the floor, “i say we play a game, to get to know each other some more, ya?” Mako laughed a bit “sure! i think that's a good idea! to lighten the mood.” he smiled and sat down next to Misami, eventually, Vinmi, Kai, Maru and i were sitting on the floor as well. “Michi, aren't you gonna play?” Vinmi asked the attorney, who was leaning against a wall. “No, games are not really my thing, but i will observe if you'll allow it.” they responded. “Sure, whatever floats your boat.” Kai chuckled. “So what should we play?” Maru asked tucking some hair behind her ear. “Hmm… how about… two truths and a lie?” Mako suggested “ya, that's a good game to get to know each other!” Misami beamed.

We played for a while but Mako’s was definitely the most interesting, “ okay… i have two birds at home, I've got a younger brother and… I've been to jail a couple of times.” he finished with a nod. “Whoa! What! The jail ones gotta be the lie!” Vinmi laughed “nope! That ones true…” Mako smiled and rubbed his neck. “what really?!” Misami awed. “is the first one the lie?” i guessed. Mako nodded “umhm, I've actually got five birds!” we laughed and continued the game.

“Huh? Michi where you going?” Maru asked “oh, i have to go to my room for a moment, then i might search some more.” Michi answered politely before closing the doors behind them.

The six of us finished our game and decided part ways. Vinmi and i decided to search the floor with our dorms.

Body discovery:

Vinmi sighed “there's nothing here ether…” i nodded “we’ve been up here for a while too, i’m not sure if there's anything here…” Vinmi stretched her arms and gave a silent nod. “Hmm? What’re you guys doing?” we heard a door click from behind us. “oh, Sundi.” Vinmi greeted “we were looking for something that could help us get out.” “on this floor?” Sundi asked “err, it was the only floor we hadn’t checked yet…” Vinmi stated “there’s nothing to do here so searching or an exit makes sense i guess…” the pastel girl flipped her hair behind her and turned towards the stairs “i’m gonna head down, you coming?” “sure we’ve looked at everything up here, right Hinae?” Vinmi smiled and walked toward Sundi “ya.” i followed after the two.

“Eep!” A few steps near the bottom, Sundi tripped. “whoa, you okay?” Vinmi caught her arm. “Ya, i am.” she gazed down then continued walking.

As soon as sundi made it to the bottom of the stairs she fell back and a scream erupted from her throat.

We ran down after her, “Sundi! What's wrong?!” Vinmi asked. She pointed beside the stairwell, fear plastered on her features. When we followed her gaze, we froze.

Ding dong bing bong~ the monitor across the hall turned on. “Upupupu! A body has been discovered! Will all students make their way to the upper staircase, the investigation will begin shortly!

Motive-Ch.1

Full prologue(text)

???: ... Is that a bell? ... "W-where...am...i?" ... "A...bedroom?..." ... "The walls... are stone?" ... Suddenly a monitor in the corner of the room turned on...

~Ding dong bing bong~ " AAATENTION STUDENTS! THIS IS YOUR WONDERFUL PRINCIPAL, IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY,PLEASE GET DRESSED AND MAKE YOUR WAY TO THE GYM, THERE SHOULD BE UNIFORMS IN YOUR CLOSET AND A MAP OF THE CASTLE ON THE DOOR!" "Castle?" I lifted myself off the king-sized bed and looked around the room. ... No window? ... it's a huge room... ...a bathroom... I opened the closet to find a bunch of the same outfit. "This is weird... they don't look like uniforms"

Following the instructions anyway I hesitantly changed in the bathroom.

For some reason or another I thought the 'uniform' was perfect. ... I quickly brushed away that thought and secured the bandana around my neck.

I took the map that was taped to the door.

Leave the room? —yes. No. ——————— Following the map best I could I found the gym rather quickly, however I hadn't seen any other people.

Taking the courage and curiosity I had, I pushed open the gym doors. To my surprise there were about seven other students.

"Hmm? That's eight." A smaller boy with white hair walked up to me. " I'm Mako Sumi, the super high school level ornithologist."

He held out his hand,so I shook it.

"H-Hinae Juro, the Super high school level director."

"Director huh? That's pretty cool! Anyway, you should introduce yourself to the others."

With that Mako skipped away

"H-hey... you don't have a camera on you do you?"

"N-no?"

"What kinda director doesn't have a Camera on them?" A girl with long braids strutted up to me. "The names Sundi Marrizo, I'm the Super high school level Meteorologist.

"I'm sure you've heard of me~" The other girl introduced herself too. "I'm Maru Matsu the SUPER HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL MODEL. It's nice to meet you—."

I heard a loud thump to my left.

"Hah! Told you I could beat you." A very tall girl with silver hair was pinning down a fiery haired boy. She helped him to his feet.

"The names Vinmi Choso, I'm the super high school level wrestler."

"I can see that, your very good at it. I'm Kai Kiamaki the super high school level firefighter.

The two shook hands and the girl apologized for making a scene. ————— "Kora! Kora yakura!?" A small girl was running up to a boy while dragging another girl behind her. "Huh? Takara? What are you doing here?" The boy answered. "Who's that?"

"This is Asuka chiyo, the Super High School Level author, she went to our school!" The girl that was dragged in,apparently asuka waved slightly at the boy.

"I'm Kora Yakura, The Super High School Level politician... but uh, I don't like being called that." The boy rubbed his neck awkwardly.

"Oh and I'm Takara Lynch, the Super High School Level Violinist! But...you guys already knew that." The girl in pink smiled ————— More people arrived after awhile, starting with a boy who kept muttering to himself, the Super high school level clock maker ,Jiro Izumi. A blue haired boy, the Super high school level makeup artist Hanko suakii.

A very purple girl the Super high school level poet, Alleni masoko

A girl who tried to go unnoticed, Shihiro Vais, who can't remember her talent.

A boy with a lab coat, Hibiki Hayate, the Super high school level chemist.

Michi Sora, the Super high school level Attorney. And a boy with odd clothing, Misami Hideaki, the Super high school level party planner.

That made sixteen of us. ... Sixteen super high school level students... ...

"AHEM! Ahem! Students! Please focus your attention to the stage in-front of you, your orientation is about to begin!"

A cheery-high pitched voice blasted throughout the gym as we all turned to the stage.

In a bundle of confetti, a duel-colored bear appeared on the stage.

"AH! A teddy bear?!?" The plain looking girl Maru squeaked out what we were all thinking.

"Not a teddy-bear! I'm your principal! Monokuma!" The bear cheered

Evidently, shock and confusion filled the room and covered everyone's faces.

"Mono...kuma?" The small boy in green, Mako, repeated hesitantly.

"That's right!" The bear danced around on the stage.

"I-it's gotta be a toy or something, this is too weird, even for me..." Misami, the party planner stammered.

"I'm not a toy, I'm your principal!" The bear pointed... waved? It's stubby arms towards us. "Upupupu...why am I always considered a toy? it's so hard to bear..." the bear suddenly shifted emotions. "Anyway, we should get this welcome party on with, huh?" The bear continued.

"Welcome party?!" Misami said, excitement filling his voice. "That's right!" The bear confirmed, "we should start with the rules before the fun part begins."

"Rules? What are the rules gonna be? 'Don't run in the halls?'" The girl with braids asked sarcastically.

((A/N: all the basic DR stuff can skip if you want ))

"No. Rules like; number one, nighttime is from 10:00 at night to 7:00 in the morning. During this time, the dining hall, garden, gym and pool are off limits. TWO:Violence against the headmaster of this academy, me, Monokuma is forbidden. THREE: lending your mono-pad to another student is not allowed. FOUR: attempting to break into locked rooms is prohibited. FIVE: new rules may be added at any time. SIX: you will be living in this school for the the rest of you days! Upupupu!" The monochrome bear stopped to laugh.

" What?!? Our whole lives—?" The tall wrestler questioned. "You can't be serious!" The small violinist added. "How do you expect us to live here for the remainder of our natural lives?" The purple poet asked.

"Natural? Who said anything about natural? That's the fun part kiddos! If you wanna leave, you gotta create the perfect crime! That's right, good ol' fashion murder!"

A chorus of gasps and shouts of denial echoed from every student as the bear laughed again.

"Any student who commits a murder will become a 'blackened' and will graduate unless they're caught! Once a murder has occurred, a class trial will commence. The 'spotless' and the 'blackened' will face off in the class trial, if the 'blackened' is exposed during the trial, then only the 'blackened' will be punished. But if the 'spotless' are wrong,then everyone besides the 'blackened' will be punished~ Upupupu~! Finally, there will be a punishment if any of the rules are broken, so keep that in mind." The bear beamed enthusiastically.

"Hang on. You seem to want a fair trial, but I'm the only one in this place who has knowledge in court! How is this fair?!" The attorney, Michi said sternly as they walked up to the bear.

"Then it would suck for the others if you were the blackened." The bear deadpanned. "AND YOU." The bear pointed at me. "YOU STOLE MY COLOR SCHEME."

"W-wha?! Color scheme? this is just the uniform that was in my locker!" I defended.

"Oh. Alright then, I'll let it slide." The bear stated.

"That's all for now kiddos, remember to enjoy your killing school semester, because no matter how much you scream, no one outside can hear ya~" with that the bear disappeared from the gym.

Sixteen super high school level students... Sixteen students trapped in a killing game... It'll be fine, right?
