So her saying "no" a bunch of times doesn't mean no, because of the times and on acounta her being a woman and all. It's not like she yelled and fought or anything...
Friendly reminder that “baby it’s cold outside” is an actual song about rape.

We’re creating our own monsters by allowing a culture where men can shove a knife in our back and women are expected to respond with guilt and unreasonable internalization of an issue that is not our own.
It’s almost as if some people believe women should say: “Don’t worry about the knife jammed into my back. It’s not your fault… I should’ve seen it coming.”
I refuse to take on the weight of guilt that is not my own because of a man who never learned how to love, or even treat women with respect, properly.

The only proof that I, as a feminist, do not hate men, should be the fact that I don’t kill, rape and beat them. The mere fact that I only rebel against my oppressor with my words, should be enough to show that I have compassion and are not motivated by hatred
While men Kill, rape and beat women, on a systematic, social, economical and cultural lvl, but people still doubt if they hate us, so much that any rebellion against them must surely be hatred.
Maybe men are telling us something we don’t know? Maybe we should hate you, and that is why you cannot fathom that our words are not motivated by hatred.
But you will not steal my compassion, love and humanity away from me. Not even in death.
I am motivated by love, my love for my sisters, and this love is not passive or silent, it is fierce and it is loud.

Honestly, Rick Rolling is the best practical joke ever. Like, there’s nothing offensive or mean spirited about it. It’s just like “Oops you thought there would be something else here but it’s ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’.” which isn’t even a bad song. It’s fairly enjoyable to listen to. There’s no jumpscares, no screaming, no ill will. Just Rick Astley telling you he’s never going to give you up. I think that’s great. “You fell into my trap! Here, listen to this completely benign song that will have no negative effect on you.”

Quote
When I say that women are oppressed, I do not mean that men are never oppressed. Men are, not because of their gender, but because they are poor men, or racially despised men, or homosexual men, or men who do not conform to strict gender stereotypes. Women are oppressed in these ways too, and, in addition, because of their gender.
Phyllis Chesler, Ph.D.
Layin’ down the intersectional critique.

I just had the police call a dude and ask him to please stop calling our DV/SV crisis line to tell us that we’re all going to “burn in hell” when he murders us because we’re “filthy whore cunts”. He informed the officer that he was just trying to process his feelings.

This map shows every state where women are more likely to live in poverty than men
Wait… hold up. Every state is colored in. That can’t be right… right?
Unfortunately, the map is accurate. And it’s especially problematic for millennial women, who are much more likely to have a bachelor’s degree or higher than millennial men, but who are consistently earning less living and living in poverty more.
