Touch tone telephone is a 70s-80s space nerd love song and fantasy. Maybe 60s-70s. That's when both touch tones and nasa would have had the most appeal.

On second thought, 70s to 80s might be best bc of the songs references to Robert stack (who was popular in the 80s) and Leonard Nimoy (Spock) in Star Trek which gained traction in the 70s-80s so with Stack's popularity, Spocks thirst trap levels, Nasa's growing popularity due to the moon landing in 1969(right on the verge of the 70s), and touch tone telephones being used in the 60s to 80s. stretch, this nerd is living from the 70s to 80s. The only thing that doesnt align is the reference to ancient aliens which didnt first air until March 8, 2009 which is WAY past our canon timeline.
