I have to wonder what Octavia’s side of the argument looks like to Moxxie and Blitz (maybe even Loona, depending on if we ever get her back story).
Here Stolas is, completely debasing himself, on his knees, speaking into her hand, begging her to hear him, before completely shattering because of how badly his actions hurt her. After a very severe mental breakdown in the office. Risking his life just for the chance to talk to her.
Moxxie and Blitz’s fathers? Not even in their wildest fantasies. Crimson and Cash will see to it that their sons are dead before they ever admit any kind of fault. They both literally see their own sons as tokens to be pawned off. They are very liberal with heaping abuse on their sons to get their ways. They do not care about their sons one iota.
Could you imagine Crimson or Cash ever on their knees begging to just speak to Moxxie or Blitz? Not even forgiveness? Just to speak to them? Heaven will collapse before that happens.
And Stolas was barely able to get a sentence in before she turned away. He’s shattered. He’s broken. He’s destroyed. What must they think of this? Do they wonder if she knows how lucky she is? Do they ever get annoyed because they would love even a fraction of that kind of affection from their own fathers?

Blitzo catching rats for Stolas has to be one of the cutest, funniest things ever.
#you can see Stolas getting the ick a little lmfao#he’s never had to see his highly trained staff catch rats#it’s like eating chicken all your life and then going to a poultry farm

I think the thing about the size difference was to emphasise how it suddenly matters to Stolas.
Hear me out.
Before, he didn't really care, because they were never on even footing anyway. Blitz could make up for it in all his amazing ways, blah blah blah, and he didn't realise.
But now? They're on even footing. Stolas might be even lower. He's suddenly noticing how he's so unaccustomed to Blitz's lifestyle. And how Blitz probably felt like that.
The banging his head on the doorway. The not liking the food. Not understanding Sinsmas.
Everything that made Stolas realise how differently Blitz lived.
And Blitz is adaptable. He's chill, with it all. Stealing, killing the rats, etc etc. He can deal with it.
Stolas seeing how Blitz adapts and figures out how to make it work when they dance, it makes him realise he doesn't have those skills. He's never needed those skills.
He's never needed to care about their height difference.
And now he does.

Crying about the fact that Stolas writes shitty erotica and Blitzø punted someone out a window for insulting it. They're everything to me.

What a great way to end a season. Nothing bad happened, no surprises, or anything that was a gut punch. You know, just wholesomeness 🥲

read somewhere that the big diff this time around is that the united healthcare CEO shooter, whether thats mangione or not, is a disaffected young man with a gun who correctly identified the guy making him miserable, instead of taking his misery out on the more vulnerable people around him. like we get a lot of shooters in the states, this iota of clarity really is something new.
