Timeframe & Date: Lunch time, 3rd October
Summary: While Brittany's on a lunch date with Chad, Santana shows up and tries to tell her what Chad's really like, which only results in the two of them getting to know each other more.
BRITTANY:
Los Angeles was known for those fancy looking restaurants that all the top celebrities seemed to be seen at, or were in the movies, or TV shows, but never did Brittany think she'd be dining at M Cafe de Chaya. Yes, she was born and breed in California, but there were places she never really went to. Chad had apparently inherited some money from an uncle that Brittany had never even heard of, and then booked a patio table in the restaurant. Excitement was just pouring out of Brittany as she sat there, dressed in a floral strapless, knee high dress, and a pair of converse with stripped knee high socks, and looking around at all the people there. "Reese Witherspoon was spotted here a couple weeks back." she stated, that wide and toothy grin on her face. "Reese Witherspoon is hot." Chad's eyes seemed to gleam at that last sentence, and a smirk crept up on his face as he threw a wink over to Brittany. There was only one thing on his mind right now.
Even though Chad was probably the biggest ass going, he did treat Brittany when he had money. He made sure she was looked after, and she had the best things that he could buy for her. He was probably doing that for God knows how many other woman, but Brittany was happy with it. She was clueless about how he really was. That's why the two of them were sat in that restaurant right now, and dining with some of the finest people in Los Angles. A bottle of champagne and some of the healthiest food they had ever eaten; and both of them were health nuts. "So, have you met this Santana Lopez yet, babe?" Chad asked while he wiped the corner of his mouth with a napkin, slyly checking out the ass of the waitress that just walked past them. "Duh, she was the one who hired me. Weren't you listening when I told you last week? Oh, babe, did you watch Letterman last night? Santana mentioned me!" Brittany squeaked with her excitement, dropping her fork against her plate and causing quite a loud noise. "Apparently, everyone thought she was talking about Britney Spears. Maybe I should change my surname." Talk about a subtle invite to a engagement that Chad didn't even seem to pick up on.

Summary: While Brittany’s on a lunch date with Chad, Santana shows up and tries to tell her what Chad’s really like, which only results in the two of them getting to know each other more.
SANTANA:
It was the typical Thursday or Santana, well except the fact that she had landed in Los Angeles that morning. She did sleep in the plane so that is why she didn’t really needed to go home and took some rest. The Latina had called off all her meetings and the rehears cause she just wanted some alone time to clear her head and just prepare herself mentally for the show that was coming. After having her morning coffee in her house, reading through the news of the day, She got the next that she needed to go to S&L to take some papers that were needed her signing. Well, being as she had other plans in her head already she called in the driver with her bodyguards to drive her there, then take the papers for her, and then drive her around the famous clothes shop. Hey, shopping always did help, plus she was a regular customer there. Santana bought almost anything that caught her eye, scarfs, blouse, shirts, dresses, skirts and of course high heels. She just loved them, maybe because she was short or maybe not who knows.
Bodyguards were good only for one thing, to carry bags and of course to catch bullets for you. “I’m hungry. Drive to my fav restaurant.” She called out from the back seat while she finally decided to tweet something. ‘Somebody excited for Saturday? Cause I am.’ sure it will keep the fans satisfied. But as she scroll down on her mentions she saw that many of her fans complained about that she hadn’t tweeted picture of herself recently. And it was true, guess she didn’t really feel sexy at all recently. “Miss, we are here.” The driver announced and before she knew it the door was opened for her by Stan, her bodyguard. “Wait in the front. I’ll wave for you if something went wrong.” She said as she took him hand to step out of the car, as the building of M Cafe de Chaya was in front of her. “Yes, ma’am. Have fun.” Santana nodded and then made herself in it. She was wearing tight black leather pants with knee high boot heels, with white shirt that was tug in the front and loose at the back. “Miss Lopez, your usual table is free. Please follow me.” The waiter was quick to grate her and then lead her to her table that was of course far away from any windows. Little did she know that her lead dancer was just behind her. “What can I get you today?” “The usual stuff.” After all she did came here regular.
BRITTANY:
The two of them engaged in conversation for quite some time. Just how Santana was with everything, if she was really like she was on interviews, and shows. Brittany actually had no idea how to really answer them. Celebrities were just people at the end of the day, and she had learnt that all Santana probably wanted was to be treated like everyone else. That's exactly what she did as well. Treated her like a friend or than a boss. Even if Santana didn't like her that much. When all the talk picked up, Brittany looked around and saw that a car was pulling up. Everyone started to talk pictures, and she knew that there was someone important in there, but she just couldn't get to see who it was. "Probably Leonardo DiCaprio or some dude..." Chad said, a little harshly as well. "What's so great about them anyway? I'm better lookin' than all of them." Chad was a very self-obsessed kind of guy. Brittany looked at him, with an almost disgusted look. Then she heard someone talk about Santana, and Brittany's head snapped in the direction. Was it Santana that was here? Now she had to try and get her attention.

SANTANA:
Yes there was the usual buzz around Santana, but she actually got used to it. Used to all cameras flashing in her face, all the people screaming and then again the shit that was written for her all over the press. But she just ignore it, why should she be bothered when it wasn’t true. “Of course, Miss. Coming right in a minute.” He gave her a polite smile and then skipped away from her. Now Santana took out those folders that she carried with her. Sure she did trust her staff but there was one thing that her father thought her, always read what you sign, no matter what document it is. So she crossed her legs one over the other as she leaned back on her chair to skim read the papers. That’s when one very shaky and grinning teenage girl approched her. “E—Excuse me?” She said shakily grinning down at Santana. The singer looked up but then saw how Stan was coming her way, so she raised her hand to stop her. “Yes?” She looked up at the girl as she was holding that white napkin. “I’m a huge fan of yours. And Umh..can I have your autograph?” Now that is why Santana loved her job, about the fame and damn she was famous. “Of course, love.” She gave her a smile and then reach out to take her napkin and then the pen that Santana had. “What’s your name?” “Sara.” Santana nodded as she wrote ‘To Sara, with lots of love.’ and then sign it. “Nice name by the way.” She handed her the napkin in which Sara jumped up in join and quickly wrapped her hands around Santana, “Thank you.” With that she ran away to somewhere. Santana shook her head giggling to herself while she sat back getting to her paper work. In the same time the waiter had brought a glass of red wine with water.
BRITTANY:
Okay, now Brittany was certain that it was Santana. She turned her attention back to Chad when she felt how he was brushing his hand on her thigh, slowly creeping further and further up. "So, have you gotten her autograph yet?" he asked, and Brittany just shook her head. They were sitting just across from Santana, on the other side of the patio. Totally in sight. "No, I'm not going to either. This is my job, Chad. I can't act like a school girl over her." Chad had to laugh though, claiming she was so serious and that's what he loved about her. He leaned forward and pressed a peck to her lips and caused her to giggle when he pulled her bottom lip between his teeth. "I think I'm gonna go introduce myself to her. She probably already know's who I am anyway." But Brittany stood up when he did, and made him sit back down. If he messed this up for her, she'd probably never forgive him. This wasn't a joke to her, despite how much he thought it was. "Oh, c'mon babe, it'd be funny." He said, a little louder than he did before, trying to hold Brittany down while he stood back up again. Now the two of them had gotten quite a stare as people started to look at them. They were being rather loud though; well, Chad was. "Chad! Chad. Please." "Okay, okay!" He gave in, sitting down again and grabbing his beer. "I was only jokin' babe."

SANTANA:
It was fair to say that Santana was rude to her employees but after all she paid them to work not to fangirl over her. Now her fans were another thing, she respected the, and always did gave autographs when she was asked to, even if it is on the street, after all because of them she gets to do what she loved, so she did respect and love them. But right now there is something else that caught her attention, some guy obviously had way too much to drink already. Being as she was tactic she turned her wine glass around so she could catch a glimpse of who it was. But all she saw was blonde hair, well actually they both had blonde hair. Well that didn’t really work. Well, then plan B. She once again fished in her handbag only to take out her her foundation that had a little mirror on it. Well that would work. Opening it she pretended that she was checking her make-up while Santana eyed the couple. Oh what what her eyes were met to. Her lead dancer with this guy. Was he her boyfriend? Well, it was her personal life so there was no place for Santana to butt in. Shaking her head the Latina put back in her foundation and then return reading those papers hoping that she won’t be interrupted again cause that would tots suck.
BRITTANY:
Brittany was a little on edge right now. It wouldn't be the first time that Chad had ruined something for her. She sat there, rather awkwardly and picking at the food that was on her plate. After a moment of silence, he stood up and walked over to her, leaning down to get to her level, and placed a hand on her thigh. "I gotta go now, babe." he said softly, rubbing her leg and leaning in to kiss her. "I left the cheque on the table for the dinner, and I'm real sorry about that." Brittany smiled, and returned the kiss, then watched as he stood up and left. What she failed to see --because she turned her attention to the cheque that was on teh table-- was Chad walk passed Santana and slip a piece of paper on her desk. "Call me, beautiful," he said, looking at her and then throwing her a wink before leaving the restaurant. "This cheque isn't even a cheque..." Brittany sound out lout to herself, holding the piece of paper above her head and waving it about. "Chad, it's not real!"

SANTANA:
Glad that the noise was now down from that couple she return back to her paper. It was actually her routine to do work here, it was peaceful and she was even getting her lunch. After she had singed everyone of the documents she shoved them back in the folder and then place them on the other side of the table that was empty. Now it was time to enjoy her lunch. Santana took sips from her wine as she looked out of the window that was far away from her but she still managed to look through it, and then around the restaurant to try and make up what people were talking about. “Your salad, Miss.” The waiter said as he place down in front of thr Latina her salad. “Thanks—” She narrowed her eyes and then pointed at him. “—Jeff, right?” That’s when he grinned and nodded quickly. “Yes!” She gave him a smile and then nodded, well sometimes this girl could be polite. When he walked away she started to silently eat her salad, but then this guy walked pass her table dropping a note on her table. “Si—” But as she caught what was written she knit her eyebrow cause that was Brittany’s boyfriend, then why the fell he was hitting on her? Even more, with some freaking teenage trick, what was he seventeen? She shook her head totally ignoring him. But there was this feeling, deep down in her that sympathy for Brittany cause obviously her boyfriend was a douche bag. And then she heard that girl screaming in this restaurant. “Oh God,” She mumbled to herself shaking her head.
BRITTANY:
"What am I supposed to do with a fake cheque!?" she called out, not realising that Chad was long gone now. It was such a dirty trick he played on her. He knew that she was struggling on money because her studio wasn't doing as well as it used to. God, she should have known there was something iffy about the whole 'Hey, Britt, let's go to one of the most expensive restaurants in LA!' line. Ugh. She placed the cheque back on the table and dropped her head against it, running her hands through her hair. This wasn't the first time he had even done this. She should just leave him, but she just couldn't. Then to top it off, the waiter came with the bill, and Brittany had to fish around in her wallet for the money she really didn't have. In the end, she just had enough, but now she was broke. Well, whatever, she should be getting some money sooner or later, right? With this whole dance thing. Speaking of which, Brittany had forgotten that Santana was there, and when she glanced around and her eyes ran over her, her throat suddenly dried up. Well, it was kind of awkward, wasn't it?

SANTANA:
Now Brittany was shouting in this restaurant, where probably many famous people were eating in this same time. That wasn’t really so good for Santana, not at all really. Cause that was her lead dancer and she couldn’t really let her act this way in public. THose people were maybe her future singing partners and now Brittany had so many eyes on her. “Great Brittany,” She mumbled again and turned around to glare at her or tell her to stop shouting but she saw that she was looking for some money. Now she couldn’t pay, ugh. Why the hell did she pick her up ever? Santana quickly waved at her waited, when he came she quickly gave him her card, “You were quicker this time, Miss Lopez.” “Um, I just want to pay early, but add to my bill the one that is on that table.” She nodded over to Brittany, to what he gave her a questioned look. “Do it please.” He nodded in a matter of minutes Jeff had return with her card. But Brittany’s waited did go back to her to return her money. “I’m sorry Miss, my bad. Your bill was already.” And just in that moment Santana turned her head ove her shoulder to look at her.
BRITTANY:
It wasn't like Brittany was doing this on purpose. She hadn't exactly planned for Chad to walk out on her without paying the bill. That feeling of shame ran through her as the waiter walked off with her money, and she just sat there, looking so distressed as to what she was even supposed to do now. Trying to remove her face with her hands --or, so she thought it would happen-- Brittany just rubbed them against her face until the waiter came back. She looked up at him with a questioning look and hesitating took her money back from him. "Thanks?" she said, completely quizzically about all this. "So, did Chad actually pay the bill then? He did say he was taking me out to this really nice restaurant and treating me. He's so nice." Nice? Nice? He just walked away and left her with a stupidly expensive bill after ordering champagne and lobster. What was so nice about that? And there was that dreamy state again that Brittany couldn't help but fall in.

SANTANA:
So no look from Brittany, she never really did met Santana’s eyes, she had that dreamy face on her. “God, don’t tell me that she thought that that jerk paid her lunch,” She mumbled again and then groaned while she turnead around on her seat to eat her salad cause obviously her lead dancer won’t actually bother to even say hello to her. Well whatever. The waited just looked around the restaurant before he shrugged and then left the money on her table. “All it said was that your bill was added to someone else.” And with that he took the empty plates away with him. Santana shook her head cause she couldn’t really believe that Brittany was with that asshole. What the hell did she found in him, and most importantly how the hell did reserved a table here, it was way too expensive but after all he did leave like that, without even paying for the lunch, what a gentleman. It was strange that Santana actually wanted something better for Brittany, not that she’d be bothered to care if it was any other in front of her.
BRITTANY:
Okay, now Brittany was getting far too confused with what the hell this waiter was talking about. "Someone else paid for my lunch?" she asked, her peek of interest completely raised right now. Who on Earth would be paying for her lunch? "Oh..." It hit her after a moment, and her eyes travelled to the back of Santana's head. Surely not though, right? Santana didn't even know Brittany. "Thanks." With that, she gave the waiter a smile and then grabbed her wallet to leave the restaurant. Well, she did pass Santana's table, and while she stood their rather awkwardly, she cleared he throat. "If that was you that paid for my lunch... Thanks. Promise I'll pay you back. You could just totally take it out of my first pay check!" Brittany didn't even know if she was going to get paid for dancing for Santana. She hoped so though. Now what? Did she just leave or did she stay? Brittany's people skills weren't that great anyway, let alone when she was in front of someone well known. She started to scratch the back of her neck, shuffling on her feet, giving Santana a soft, rather (unintentional) loving smile.

SANTANA:
The Latina was quickly finishing her salad so soon she’d have to leave this place and maybe people won’t actually connect her to the girl that actually shouted and was pretty much left behind here. But oh how wrong she was. Brittany was already there talking to her. Well fuck, here goes to blowing off her cover. She did chew down in the bite she had in her mouth and then wiped her mouth with the napkin. But she saw that Brittany was standing there rather awkwardly. “Have a seat.” She noddded to the chair opposite her and then took a sip from her water as Brittany did. She didn’t really give her any other choice. “Why are you dating that jerk?” Yeah Santana didn’t really like to talk shit, she just shoot right with the questions. “And before you start to protect him I’d ask you two more questions. One, why did he leaave you here when he hadn’t pained the bill and two, why did he try to get in my Pants?” Of course that she’d try to protect him so that is why she slid the note he gave her to Brittany. “Dumb him, you can do better.”
BRITTANY:
There was the answer to whether she left or not. "Uuuh, 'kay..." she mumbled, pulling the chair back and then sitting down when she was told to do so. She thought maybe Santana was going to talk to her about how the dancing was going, but all that work she seemed to do on bringing Santana out of her shell a little seemed to just vanished. This version of Santana was rude, unpleasant, and damn right nosey. "Excuse me..." she began, a frown pulling at her face, "He's not a jerk. He's my boyfriend. His name is Chad. Don't talk about him like that." But part of her understood where Santana was coming from. He had just left her in the restaurant on her own, but what was this about trying to get in her pants? "What?" That's when her eyes fell on the note that clearly said Chad's name on it. She snatched it from the pile of papers and opened it up. "He must have dropped this. I'll take it and give it him back." With that, she shoved the piece of paper down her bra and looked back at Santana. "I'm not going to dump him. I love him."

SANTANA:
Glad that Brittany sat down, Santana shuffled in her seat while she kept lock her eyes to Brittany. Why the hell was she defending that guy, after what he did to her? This was rather unbelievable to witness. Santana groaned and rolled her eyes cause that was the first one who would ever question her, but this time she was 100% sure that she was right. The Latina had seen it with her eyes after all, she can’t deny that. “Really?” She tried to snatch the piece of paper from her but she was way to fast. “Fine, then give that to me. Give me that note he accidentally dropped on my table so we could see who is right and who is wrong.” Santana challenge. It was actually strange that she wanted to help that girl —what a way by the way— but still it was strange for her. ”If you are right then I’d double your salary but If I am ight, then you know that he is cheating on you. Nothing to lose here if you are right.” Santana knew that this would work and once Brittany gave her that note she quickly took it and then dialed his number just to prove her point. It rang several times before he finally answered but Santana quickly cut him. “Hi there, It’s Santana Lopez. You said to call you, so I did.” Let see what he could do now.
BRITTANY:
Even though she was completely put off by the fact that her boyfriend had even given Santana her number, there was still a part of her that wondered if she was right. "He wouldn't cheat on me.." she said, still defending him. There was a moment of hesitation where Brittany, in the end, pulled the note back out of her bra and handed it to Santana. What if he was cheating on her? She needed to know, right? "Okay, but put it on that speaker thingy so I can hear him as well." The blonde watched as the other woman dialled Chad's number and she began to worry. His voice came from the phone, and she bit her lip, wondering what it was he was going to say. "Oh, hey babe. Yeah, I did. Didn't expect you to call so fast though." He was talking to Santana as if he had known her for years! Brittany could feel her heart sinking the more he spoke, and then his next sentence really hit her. "Just heading home from lunch with my sister. Wanna head over and have some fun?" His sister? Seriously? Brittany had heard enough, and she placed her hands over her ears, closing her eyes shut tight as well. She didn't want to hear it anymore.

SANTANA:
Good, so at least Brittany wasn’t making a scene right now. Well Santana just didn’t want to catch other people’s eyes right now but it seemed that Brittany wasn’t still getting it at all. Well either that or Santana just forgot that she had to let go of Brittany’s hand now, so her hand did stay wrapped around her wrist when she hit the table. But then again Brittany didn’t understood what she meant by that. “Brittany…” She starting and then sighed. “All I’m saying is that there are other people that would threat you better than that Chad.” Santana raised her shoulders and then licked her lips. “Just think about it. I know that you’d be happier with someone that would love you and will be willing to give you everything.” Wow, okay where did that Santana came from. That caring, soft and so friendly person that was even a little scary at times cause no one would ever believe that Santana could be that way. But Santana would totally deny it if someone actually asked if she said all that, to a person who wasn’t even that close to her.
BRITTANY:
Yeah, okay, there was definitely something up with Santana here. Mind you, who was Brittany to judge She didn't know what Santana was like outside of all the fame and fortune. But she was being nice to her, and she was still holding onto her wrist. The blonde glanced down at her hand, looking back up with a small smile on her lips, and then tilted her head. That smile quickly faltered when the next set of sentences left Santana's mouth. Maybe she had a point. Maybe she was just telling her this because she had been through the same experiences before. Brittany placed her hand on top of Santana's and pulled it away from her wrist, before giving her a nod. "Okay, I understand." She did, as well. Slightly. "I'll just talk to him about it." That was all she could do, right? Maybe Chad was just a little drunk on the phone to Santana. She needed to speak to him anyway. Then she said something without thinking as she glanced back up at Santana with a rather shy smile on her face. "You're being super nice," she said quietly, leaning on the table with her head in her hand, a (unintentional) dreamy expression taking over her face, "I like it."

SANTANA:
Glad that Brittany was in for that one thing, cause Santana knew that there was no way that she was wrong. And that she just needed to help that girl. The latina did put her phone on loud speaker and then leave it on the table as she waited. Oh, what a smirk played on her lips as she heart that boy going down so easily, Men were so stupid someone, she knew that he had a boner even from hearing her voice well that was obvious by the way. But what caught her attention was that Brittany really thought that this guy loved her. UGh, no now Santana was feeling something. Really feeling something? But then as she covered her eyes that was santana’s key to pick up the phone and turf off the loud speak to put it on her ear. “Sounds great, tell me your address and I’d be there as fast as I can.” Now that was something new. Well Santana already had something on her mine. Once she got his address she hung up and then lean on the table,”Hey, Brittany.” But no response, so that is why she she reached out to wrap her hand around her wrist. “Hey,” She pulled it away form her face —not really realizing that she had touch her for the first time— “I know that it must be hard for you right now, but he doesn’t deserve that. You to be sad all over it, Will he do that? No, he would spare a tear for you. So don’t waste your breath over it, Plus I know I’d be sad if I lost someone like you.”
BRITTANY:
Brittany just didn't want to believe what she had just heard. If she covered her ears, it wouldn't be real. It had to be fake. Feeling herself tear up from what she had heard, she was ready to just get her things and go home, but seems like Santana had other plans. Letting her pull her hand away, she lowered her other and opened her eyes to be met with Santana looking rather sympathetic for her. The blonde gave her a sweet smile, while her eyes searched her face, and her eyes, just to see if she was telling the truth. "Okay." she said quietly in response after finding that Santana actually was being rather genuine here. That was something knew. Usually she was finding sarky remarks to throw at her, or shouting at her for spacing out during rehearsal. "I barely ever see him anyway. He's usually just away with the football team." Even then it didn't hit her that he was probably just with other woman when he said he was out with the team. God, this guy was a real jackass. "Someone like me?" she asked, as that last thing that Santana had just said hit her. "Are you insulting me?"

Summary: While Brittany’s on a lunch date with Chad, Santana shows up and tries to tell her what Chad’s really like, which only results in the two of them getting to know each other more.
SANTANA:
All that was needed for Santana to understand that Chad was lying to Brittany for so long was ten minutes, and Brittany, well Brittany still don’t get. Honestly, that answer of hers didn’t mean anything cause she knew that somehow that Chad guy would talk her out of everything and then Brittany would hate her. Well just great. For once that Latina tried to do good and in the end she’ll be the bad guy, why the hell did she try. But as she felt another hand over her, her eyes snapped up to see that she was still holding her hand. ‘Oh, fuck. God damn it. What the hell was that Lopez?’ She thought to herself as she quickly snap her hand in her lap to play with them, already sweaty. What the hell was wrong with that Latina anyways? But as she looked up, she clearly saw one more fan. Yeah, even though that was her lead dancer it was clear that it was one more fan. Well she had thought about if she was really not her fan but here she was, looking at her that strangely. “Uhh..”Santana mumbled and then licked her lips nervously. “Thanks.” Was all that she could say cause right now she had no idea what this blonde girl was doing to her.
BRITTANY:
For some reason, there was something about Santana that seemed to be .... different... around Brittany. Brittany just couldn't put her finger on it though. It was the way Santana seemed to act nervous around her. She had know Santana to be this big, tough, badass that a lot of people in the music industry seemed to be afraid of in a way. Well, just the couple of rehearsals she had had with this woman gave her that impression anyway; but who was she to judge? Santana seemed like a sweetheart, in a way. Even as she watched the other woman seem to shy away, Brittany did the same. She, being as pale as she was, blushed a bright pink, then ran a hand through her hair to try and distract herself for a moment. There was an awkward silence while Brittany just played around with the hem of her shirt, and finally, after a minute or two, she looked up at Santana and gave her a smile. "Thanks for mentioning me on Letterman the other day." she said, giving Santana a rather loving smile. "It was really appreciated. Maybe people will start taking me serious now. My studio isn't doing that well, because I keep getting sent a bunch of people who just don't care." she shrugged, clearly upset about how badly her used to be popular studio was doing lately. "Maybe once people start to see that I mean business, they will take me seriously. No one seems to do so." See, she did know --in a way-- that there was something off about Chad. Even if she didn't want to see that.

Chad || Self Para - Brittany Pierce.
TAGGING: Brittany Pierce
LOCATION: Brittany's beach house
TIME & DATE: Afternoon of September 30th
SUMMARY: An introduction to Brittany's boyfriend, Chad.
So the day was going rather better than she had planned. Martini in hand, sunshades and bikini on, Brittany just lay on the sand of the beach where her house was and soaked up the sun. Or, so she was until a rather large shadow blocked the sun from tanning her. Propping herself up on her elbow and removing her sunglasses, Brittany caught the sight of no one other than Chad looking down at her. "What do you want?"
"That's no way to talk to your boyfriend, babe."
Chad was your very stereotypical California type of guy. He had it all; the dashing good looks, the killer body, the smile that would melt the hearts of any girl who looked at him, the successful yet not-so-famous college football, the assistant CEO of a company that no one even seemed to hear off. But there was on thing he lacked, and that was the ability to be faithful. Brittany and Chad had been dating for years, but over those years he had cheated on her numerous times. But she was just so in the dark with it all. Chad was a very good liar.
Brittany tilted her head and sat up, removing her sunglasses completely from her face and looking up at her boyfriend. "Oh, I'm sorry." she said, licking her lips and being unable to stop herself from checking him out. He had gotten more... tanned since the last time she saw him. "Did the tanning bed get stuck on you again? Or did you bathe in maple syrup this morning, Chad?" All he could do was laugh at her, rather sarcastically as well. Brittany wasn't making a joke there though, she was making a statement so when he started to laugh at her, all she could do was tilt her head again, wearing an expression that only riddled with confusion. "Are you laughing because you did bathe in syrup or..." Before she could even finish her question, Chad had sat down next to her on the sand and placed a hand on her thigh. That's when Brittany fell silent and a loving expression took over her face. "I've really missed you."
Not even a tinge of guilt ran though Chad at those words that this girl had missed him. He never felt anything towards her. Well, there must have been a time when they were younger that he did, but that was then, and this is now. Chad had more girls on the side, it was just Brittany was completely oblivious to it all. "I just came to see how your audition thing went." he said softly, running a hand up and down her thigh. He was never interested in anything that Brittany had to do. He never really understood why she wanted to dance in the first place. Chad had asked her so many times to just join the cheerleading team for his football team so she could be on the sidelines cheering him on, and then at the end of the game he could take her home with him and fuck her meaninglessly. That was all Brittany was to Chad; a toy. But Brittany loved him, and always believed that Chad loved her too. Kelly had tried to talk sense into her about how he really was, but Chad had always managed to talk her back into the fact that he loved her. Maybe that was her problem. She believed everything that she was told.
"I tried to call you like, fifteen times to tell you I got the gig. I got it the same day I got the audition." That wide, bright, toothy smile played on Brittany's lips now, and she was obviously bouncing with happiness right now. Chad was back, and she could finally tell him how she felt about this whole thing. "I'm super ex--" Again, she was cut off by Chad, but this time by his lips that closed around hers. Brittany melted into him, returning the kiss and wrapping her arms around his neck. But then he pulled away and had a equally as bright smile on his face.
"I'm so proud of you, baby. But you know I told you that my phone died before I left!" Brittany had no recollection of a conversation with Chad about how his phone had broken, but she just shrugged it off that maybe she had forgotten. "I called you from a payphone last week to remind you. Kelly answered, didn't she tell you?" Again, no recollection, but she allowed him to carry on while she was shaking her her. "Seems you're becoming forgetful again, babe. Are you taking your medication?"
Brittany's face dropped, but she quickly nodded her head and sat up straight. "Every day and night." she told him, a proud smile on her face. "Oh, Chad, I'm super ex--" Just as she was about to tell him how excited and happy she was about getting this dance job for Santana Lopez, Brittany was cut off by the sound of Limp Bizkit blasting out from somewhere Chad pulled out something from his pocket and put it to his ear. His phone. Not five minutes ago had he told Brittany that his phone was broke, and it didn't even hit her that he was using it right now. She listened watching him and how his facial expression changed from serious to joke in a matter of seconds. And then he stood up. "Who was that?"
Chad ran a hand through his dirty blonde hair and looked down at his girlfriend as she too stood up. "Just some guys from the team. You know how it is?" He was leaving again, wasn't he? Once Brittany was up on her feet, she stood on her tiptoes to wrap her arms around his neck and give him a hug. He returned it but it quickly turned into something more. A heated kiss that caused Brittany to smile against his lips. A large hand slid down from her hair, across her spine and slipped under her bikini bottoms. Maybe she'd be able to make him stay for a little longer. Maybe. She moaned into the kiss as his fingers teased at her, and that was his queue to pull back. Tease ya and leave ya, he liked to call it. This was all Brittany ever got from Chad lately, and it sucked more than anything. Why couldn't she just see that this wasn't a healthy relationship? She could do so much better.
With one last peck to the lips as she pouted and tried to get him to stay by grabbing his hand as he walked down the beach --or tried to--, that would be the last time that Brittany would see Chad for weeks. Maybe even months. At least she had the dance to keep her mind off of things, right?

Diary Entry #1
Date: 29th September 2013
Notes: No cats allowed! Yes, that means you, Lord Tubbington.
Dear Diary,
First of all, this is a new diary because Lord Tubbington read the last one to Kelly, and he told her my deepest, darkest secrets like the one where I ran Barbie over with the vacuum and I told Ken she just went on vacation. Ken will never talk to be again if he finds out, and when he does I don't know what I'll do. But he's shacked up with Stacey so it's alright. Barbie on the other hand.. She's been beheaded and is now in a shoebox under the sand. I think I still got sand on my eyes from her burial.
But totally getting off of track there, I got a new job. I guess you could call it a job; it's lead dancer for Santana Lopez. Before you ask, yes I'm talking about the same Santana Lopez that I went to her concert last year and totally flashed my boobs at her whileI was on Sam's shoulders. I hope she doesn't remember that. And I hope Lord Tubbington doesn't tell her, either. I auditioned last week after hearing the news on the radio and when I finished my audition just a few days ago, Santana personally decided she wanted me as her dancer. Kinda was unexpected, but it was probably just because I'm the best. Seriously.
Then there was this rehearsal straight after my audition that she wanted me to take part in. In the charging rooms, I overheard these girls talking about 'the new kid', and at first I thought they were talking about The New Kid from Black Lagoon and how no one seemed to know where the new kid was from but people suspected he was taking different forms and he was from Mars... Then I realised they were talking about me and the last time I checked, I wasn't from Mars.
The first rehearsal was super tough. Most of the time I just sat there, watching the other dancers so I could learn the moves and get it down correctly. I'm a fast leaner and an even better dancer, so I picked it up pretty quickly and when I went back the following day, I already had it down better than those who had been practising it for weeks. I know that some of them didn't like that I did that and embarrassed them in front of Santana, but I just really wanted to show these people that I can dance. Ever since I started all they've been doing is bullying me. The choreographer, Mark, he's the worst. Always picking at me and calling me names, and telling me I'm doing something wrong when I know I'm not. The other dancers like to push me around as well; trip me over when we're practising so then that gives Mark the opportunity to be mean again. And to top it all off, nobody calls me by my name. Santana started to call me 'Blondie' so now everyone does. I feel like she's Flynn Rider at times; saving me from my tower of being stuck with a bunch of kids at my studio who just don't want to work, and bringing me out into the world and seeing how it is from her point of view as being up on the big stage and dancing next to her. But if she cuts my hair and it turns brown, that would totally not be cool.
There's been rehearsals almost every night for a week. The only progress I'm seeing is that Santana seems to be opening up more to me. She has started to call me Brittany, but her nicknames for me are still there. I'm kinda getting used to it but I don't want her to use it so much that I forget my own name again. She, among everyone else there, thinks I'm weird, but I'm not. I'm Brittany. Brittany S. Pierce to be precise. People should remember that name being as it's so close to Britney Spears.
I think I hear Kelly calling me from outside. First entries in diaries always suck, like Kelly's that just said she had a new bra and it snapped the second she put it on. Sometimes I find myself still laughing at that, and she still doesn't know that I know. Anyway, I'll try to update every day if I can.
Love,
Britt xx
