Reference of my chosen walk

DAN220
I had two ideas for my walk one was a tight rope walk and the other was a walking frame style. At first I i took video reference of myself one with the walking frame and the tight rope just fowling a line on the floor. After taking video reference I drew the beginning thumbnails of the walks I broke down them down in 4 steps the extremes and the contacts. When I created the thumbnails I then created better breakdowns and scaled them up in 3ds max to match the drawings with the model.
 After a discussion with my peers we decided to continue with the walking frame cycle. I first tried doing my walk with the custom rig that I had made, but while it was animating it didn’t match my reference so I had to redo movement on the rig provided. After showing my first alteration to my peers, they showed me that I had a problem while that model was moving and that it was supposed to move on the spot, so after various attempts I got hep from my lecturer and fixed the issue. This walk I created was directed to my fellow animators and future work opportunities in the industry, this is to show how far I have come and how far I need to go.
I currently used three of the twelve principals 
Timing: For the run down of when the person should take a step and how long it needs to take for the step to be complete. How I timed the head movement to look down before taking the walk
Anticipation: This is when you see him thrust his body forwards before he takes a step, this is to directed the viewer that he will be walking forwards and using his arms to help him.
Secondary Action: I reckon the secondary action will be the movement of the head and the movement of the arms correlation with the movements of the steps
I learnt from this experience that a simple animation takes so long to create because there are so many principals that needs to be followed. If I could improve on anything is that I need to do more thumb nailing and also more breakdowns before I incorporate it in 3ds max. Also that I have solid reference before attempting to animate anything

In this showreel I like how it show emtion in the characters and I would like to copy that in a way that tells my side of what I love to do.
So this was the week we finally showed our presentation to the the tutors and we were presently surprised on the response we got and now looking towards the future for a hard and annoying road but also one made with new possibilities.
I currently didnt work on anything that much for the speech, only about the part I needed to talk about, I continued to work on my other assessments and really excited to finish them and get myself ready for next year

I am killing two birds one stone my work for DAN230 and DAN220. The angle of his body is showing he is an rundown machine that doesnt have the power to stand straight up at times  It was really hard to do the walk because the rig is simple how ever hard to place certain joins and distances

Continum are looking for a 2D Artist for character designs for a gaming project. It requires them to be working on multiple projects within a small team environment, creating concept art on gaming characters as well as taking part in some web design also.
I am now back to work after the weekend off I have nearly completed my work and just waiting for the holidays. The last few weeks I have been thinking about if I should do the degree or not and I have decided to go and do it, it will be hard however it will be worth it

http://www.cgw.com/documents/pdfs/White_Paper_Bakery_Relight_FINAL.pdf This pdf shows pros what lighting conventions have been done and what part it needs to take place I am just working away on my DAN210, DAN220 and DAN230, however I am now in a agrument with one of my team memebers about jobs, priliges and respect, after I have decided I am not covering anyones ass anymore if I dont get the next part from the person who is supposed to do it I am not going to do either  I have resubmited my work for DAN220.1 with improved animation and better curvature currently doing reference for my 2 walk cycles one with a walking frame and the other on a tight rope
So my pre-vis is pretty much done just now requires little changes to make it as best as it can be, I might change the angles of the cameras to give it a new look

Week 5
Just got into the human rig in 3ds max worked well hopefully I will get better on the controlling the person, I am now well into my pre-vis process jutst finished my drawing of the storyboard and now I am just implementing them into after effects. For Dan 230 I am now into my idea and figuring out what the story is about and what is going to happen
