Blog info below cut . . .
Hi! I'm Ivanko, but feel free to call me Ivan! And I'm an AG doll collector!
While I don't have many dolls, I'll still post about them and all that!
My dolls include:
Kit (she / her) - my first ever doll
Samantha (Renamed to Dawn) (she / they) - my second doll
All my dolls are bought off eBay, FB market place or thrifted unless stated otherwise, I prefer those methods as it's cheaper and easier for me to access dolls that way. Anyone who judges people for not being able to buy brand new dolls or dolls in perfect condition, please don't interact with this blog as it's a safe space for all.
This pinned post will be updated in the future as I get more dolls, info about me changes, etc

Thinking about the time my ex and I got into a fight over the fact he thought the Marie grace mold was not different compared to the classic mold because in his words, "a brand wouldn't make a whole new mold for a few dolls" .. WHHAT.

Saila might be one of the most beautiful native dolls I've ever seen (it's now a fight for the #1 spot between her and Kaya in my mind),, I adore when dolls represent native peoples. As someone who's Cree I'd ADORE to see a Cree doll someday. Maybe even a native boy doll someday along in the future would be amazing!
I've always wanted American Girl to add another Indigenous doll to their lineup, whether present day or highlighting another historical period. We have the thoroughly researched and consulted Kaya from the Nez Perce tribe who I love dearly, but it would be really cool to have another character join her in the lineup representing another Tribe with its own history and culture.
While that unfortunately still hasn't happened, I was thrilled when I learned about Maplelea's Saila Qilavvaq doll! She lives in Iqaluit, Nunavut, speaks English and Inuktitut, and shares her Inuit heritage through her journal, which takes place in present day.
And now, I'm proud to say that she is officially joining my doll collection! Welcome, Saila!
We love to see beautiful Indigenous dolls, that's for sure. I can't wait to take more pics of her and learn more about Inuit culture. ❤️
