You’ve been invited to this year’s 3rd Annual Daily/BD Winter Ball!

With permission from @dailyreimi, our previous host, some other blogs and I will be handling this year’s event so you can look forward to another year of grand seasonal fun!

Your hosts for this evening event? Look no further, this year’s lovely hosts are @dailyshadowdio​ and @weeklydiavolo. We might be managing the event, but don’t worry, we’ll all be available to dance.

When: from Dec 30th to Jan 14th (You may continue to interact pass this date if these set dates aren’t enough time for you)

Here’s how to participate!

Design your own outfit for your character! Get as creative as you want, but keep it formal! You want to impress your date after all… wait, date?

It’s recommended that you find a date to the Winter Ball. It could be that one person you admire, that other blog you’ve secretly been crushing on… but hurry and ask before they’re taken!

Ask others to dance, share a drink, catch up on the gossip with your local villain. There are no enemies at this event—unless you make one

Keep an eye out for updates from the hosts during the event!

Don’t forget to tag content with #bdwinterball — and check out past interactions in the tag if anything here is unclear!

As with any event, there are rules:

Keep it PG-13, people! This is an event made for dancing!

While conflict between ball-goers’ characters is encouraged, we’d like for everyone to help us maintain a safe and comfortable environment while browsing

That means that between blog mods, behavior like tossing insults, threats, personal attacks, or callout posts should be kept outside of winter ball-related posts as much as possible

Don’t forget to tag the following content: alcohol, drugs, blood, and smoking/vaping

If a rule is broken, one of the hosts will deliver a warning. Multiple warnings can result in removal from the end-of-ball voting, or removal from the event altogether.

Further Information about the End of The Ball Voting will be posted later on so keep an eye out for that!

🎉Hi! Hello! I'm happy to officially announce this blog is now open! 🎉

We’ll be tracking the tag #jjbadailyblogs through the coming months, and setting out prompts for the Daily community to follow along with.

Hello hello hello! This is Mod Doppio! We mods have gotten several requests to extend the event; we feel as a whole that a lot of people didn’t get time to work on their designs or interact! As a result, the bdspaceau event will be extended until: SATURDAY, JULY 29th We thank y’all kindly for participating, thank you for the feedback given! We apologize if this event runs into any other events, next time we will be sure to coordinate far ahead of time and set up a proper 2 week time slot.  If you’ve already decided to stop, please don’t feel pressured to continue! We understand long events can be draining for some, but freeing for others!

Nev, totally draping his wet self to lean on one side of Gemello. "Geeeeem, guess who just got cleared from physical therapy~!"

Gemello grins as he feels a familiar, yet soggy, weight rest itself over his side and shoulder. The water surrounding Nev quickly invades Gemello’s space until half of Gemello’s face is submerged in water as well. “Nevy! That was quick, I’m so glad you’re okay~!” The blue alien is promptly given an affectionate hug. @dailyndoul

((Apologies for not posting drawing answers a ton! I have been confined to a wrist brace with orders from the doctor because I’m over using my wrist too much! This has been an ongoing issue for me, so drawing replies tends to take longer than text replies. I can’t draw for long periods of time so it takes me a while to finish a piece.))

this is Shak’ti [shock-tee], a medic in the alien alliance! their species is able to guide living essence, making them born healers. their eyes glow with this essence from birth, making it very difficult for them to see until they grow a protective dark film over their eyes. most of this species goes on to become medics, such as Shak’ti has, and most go through training to control the flow of essence. even after lifelong training, this species cannot command the essence for more than a few minutes at a time without having to stop to rest. while the essence is being commanded, it can be used to heal physical wounds extremely quickly, and help soothe someone with emotional wounds. some report hearing tones while their essence is being guided.

it is to be noted that this art is called guiding essence- this species is unable to generate more within a being, or take it away; they can only guide it through the body until more is produced naturally. since this species cannot create essence, they cannot revive those who have passed.

Shak’ti has slightly above-average training in the art of guiding essence, and can help bring those close to passing back to a treatable level. such a tremendous feat requires several hours of rest afterward.

Gemello is the Grand Ambassador of the Alien Alliance and holds great executive power. His species is called “Dicere” and have the ability to communicate in any language: written, verbal, visual, or telepathic. He has other abilities but, well, those aren’t important right now~. 


He’s generally cheerful and open (although somewhat naive) and he genuinely wants the best for the Alliance. He believes the decisions he makes are the best ones and that his word is absolute. He is frustrated that the Rebellion doesn’t understand this and seeks to crush the ‘meager’ group that dare oppose the peace that the citizens of the alliance deserve.

He communicates freely with other government officials and his personal staff. Otherwise, he receives communications through his holo-messenger in his office or through meetings arranged by his secretary.
