“is watching porn good or bad” is such a fundamentally nonsensical question. it’s like asking “is buying clothing good or bad?” or “is watching mainstream cinema good or bad?”

much more relevant questions in all three cases: - “are you paying workers fairly for their creative work, labor, and service?” - “are you supporting projects that are based in cultural appropriation and/or fetishization of people of color (while neglecting members of those groups in your real life and ignoring their liberation movements or workplace demands)?” - “do you maintain appropriate boundaries with people providing you service, including remembering that they are a stranger with their own life and not the persona they use while performing a role at work?”
