Help My Friend Amal!

I met Amal - @amlljom9 - when she came onto Tumblr searching for help, and she happened to find my blog. She's super sweet, very kind, and has far more patience than anyone should ever have to have under the conditions she is suffering.

She's a pharmacist, and even opened her own pharmacy in Gaza. Due to the genocide, she lost it all. Her family members are sick due to varying illnesses that have only been aggravated by long term exposure and psychological stress, including her sister in law Sarah, who had to have a caesarean with no anesthesia, and cannot feed her newborn. I cannot fathom the pain and the stress that would cause. Amal is certainly mourning it.

She is doing her best to fundraise, but she has not received much notice so far. Only $183 CAD is raised of her $20,000 goal. Her campaign is vetted by @gaza-evacuation-funds !

I am asking that we donate to my friend Amal. If we cannot donate, we can at least share for others to hear her story. 🙏🏾

I am Karim from Gaza, I am 22 years old, a student in the College of Nursing.

I have two brothers, Aboud, who is 10 years old, and Hala, who is almost 12 years old.

My parents are elderly. We are living a tragedy in the October War.

My little brother suffers from malnutrition. My mother lost my brother a few years ago due to the 2014 war.

His name is Aboud as well. She gave birth again and named him Aboud after my brother who died due to the wars on Gaza.

We do not want to lose my second brother. You are our hope. We need your help in order to escape death and live in safety and peace.

We do not want more than to feel safe. I am working to raise money for my family.

I need money to save them from death. We are here in certain death every minute.

Please help us. Hope will be spent on food and the largest part will be spent on passing through the crossing to exit Gaza and part on providing temporary housing.

Have you read Pet and/or Bitter? I listened to Pet a week ago and I have the ebook on hold to reread it, and I've got both the ebook and audiobook of Bitter from Libby right now. I'm in chapter 3 and I have so many feelings about Bitter, specifically. But I was like, "I am amazed that Jan hasn't made aesthetics for this series (unless I've just missed them), so I wanted to see if you've read, plan on reading, and/or will talk to me about these books??

I haven't but I hear they're good reads and often like sharing them or recommending them to folks.

I got paid, but being -75$ in the red from an overcharge I could not pay before I got fee'd means I have no money for groceries for the next two weeks.

I'm sorry that I have to make another post AT ALL, but the last one didn't go anywhere and I just don't know wtf to do other than... just starve.

Edit: I don't think I conveyed the direness of this situation correctly. I have no food, at all, for the next 2 weeks until I get ALL of this money together. Walmart requires 35$+ for free delivery, and I cannot afford multiple of those because of the taxes. I need help SOON.
