if i am evil. i create character A, who indulges often. always eating, always fucking. but time and time again reveal that he is not hungry. he is not lustful. he performs hunger and doesnt truly feel it. he performs sexuality and doesnt truly feel it. and for fifteen years he performs indulgence into desire he doesnt feel. i create character B, who does not indulge. never eating, never fucking. but time and time again reveal that he IS hungry. he is lustful. he denies hunger but feels it deeply. he denies sexuality but feels it deeply. and for fifteen years he refuses to indulge in the desire he feels. and then. in the final season. allow character A to finally desire something. allow character B to confess his desire. and then kill them both before either is able to really indulge in something they truly desire. if i am evil. i do this.

Kids these days expect characters in TV shows to have, like, consistently drawn personalities and comprehensible emotional arcs and such. In my day, we had to infer our favourite character’s basic personality traits from 175 under-budgeted episodes written by fifty-eight different people who mostly hated each other’s guts and actively worked to undermine each other’s characterisation choices – and those were the ones who’d actually bothered to read the series bible before turning in their scripts, which not all of them had. And you know what? We hated every minute of it!

I have deep respect for The Witcher team for looking at season one, thinking, "Oh, fuck, we forgot to do anything to make Joey Batey look older in the later appearances!" and deciding that, you know what, they're sure as fuck not going to start doing it now for season two. In conclusion, Jaskier is immortal, I will not be taking any further questions, I urge the show runners to never address it at all but just keep him unaging, consult your favorite headcanons for the cause, but know that mine is the correct one. Hey so listen. I’ve only played Witcher 3 and watched the Witcher show, I know the canon is that Geralt just keeps getting brown horses and calling them all Roach BUT

it would be REALLY, REALLY FUNNY….if Roach has been the same horse for like…..fifty years…..and Geralt doesn’t notice his horse is magic, because how long do horses live? 100? This is Fine. Horses, he’s found, are surprisingly sturdy. One time a catastrophic storm sank Geralt’s ship and drowned literally everyone on board but Roach was found chilling on shore, a-okay.
