Tips for having a healthy relationship:
If your significant other is asexual or aromantic don’t ever,ever try to force them into doing something that they don’t want to do.
Fighting happens. It’s acceptable and even expected, but if you are fighting with your partner everyday something is definitely wrong.
Independently of your partner’s gender, don’t ever hit each other.
Routine is often what breaks people apart. Surprise your partner. Take them to see the penguins on the zoo,buy flowers and decorate their house,buy brushes and ink and make art stuff together.
Talking about boundaries is an essential part of any relationship.
If you partner ever makes you feel like you are worthless they do not deserve you.
Sex is not essential.
Say “I love you” all the times you want because it never gets old. But don’t demand them to say it back. Some people aren’t comfortable openly talking about feelings.
Polyromantic relationships exist only with the explicit consent of everyone involved.
Expensive gifts often mean much less than something you made on your own. The price of the gift is irrelevant, the sentiment isn’t.
Your significant other will have friends. And this is completely okay. If you don’t trust them enough to let them have other people on their lives, the problem might be you.
