I love the fact that Raj looks kinda like an exaggerated anime character (in proportions at least) because it's very intentional! Raj was an experiment to see if packing on more cybernetic muscle to a larger frame would yield significantly better results like it does with normal muscles. In this case it doesn't necessarily; because it was later found that these guys can shapeshift their form and mess with their density so their size and shape doesn't really matter (so much as their magical power does). Raj is at the moment, stuck in "big mode" (as he was sculpted this way on purpose by his creator) and doesn't know how to change his shape as well as Eli can. If he could "fix" his appearance, he'd probably be more slender and around 6'.
