I think people can like characters and still agree that they are bad characters. I think ppl can like the cogs and acknowledge they are bad and see them and make them characters. My only problem with people who like the cogs is if they disregard that they are in the wrong and say the toons are in the wrong cus that's not true. Stop getting at ppls throats and accusing them of "romanticizing capitalism" for liking fictional characters. I beg of you to come up with a different excuse as other fandoms have characters who are walking versions of irl issues like capitalism and industrialization that people love and enjoy and y'all don't bat an eye.
