Hi all! I am hosting a Star Trek Halloween Horror Bang.
A bang is a fandom event where writers and artists come together to create new content. The theme for this bang is Halloween and/or horror!聽
Want someone鈥檚 take on a Halloween party on the Enterprise, or how your favorite crew would handle the plot of a slasher film? Submit a prompt and see if anyone wants to take a crack at it! From now, Aug. 3rd until Aug. 17th, prompt submissions are being accepted here.聽
Once prompt submissions close, the sign-up for writers and betas will be open Aug. 18th-31st. This is not a big bang so the word count minimum is only 5,000 words. Take a look at the lists of prompts and see if any of them appeal to you!
Sept. 10th-20th the artist sign-up will be open. Artists will be able to select from a list of summaries of fics being worked on. On Sept. 24th artists and writers will learn who they鈥檝e been assigned with and can begin communicating.
There will be check-ins throughout the event, as well as a Discord. The entire schedule can be found here.
Come Oct. 29th all fics and art will be posted!

even when he became a Teacher at Star fleet academy the Chief still refused to be addressed as Sir simply staying as Chief leading to a more casual Relationship with his students, before long the Chief becomes the guy to go to if you have issues or just want to talk but are worried what the other teachers might say.
This hardcore makes me think of the teachers I currently have and I have to say. I support this so much. All of my teachers are so overwhelmingly kind and easy to trust, and I know they all really want to support me and see me succeed

Okay this is my idea!! A redesign/au tbh.
Features:
Non-binary Odo!
Odo technically being blind and deaf, seeing as they're gelatinous and can't actually see/hear
There's a universal sign language in this AU that Odo gladly uses! They can easily detect even miniscule shifts in their surroundings and are able to make sense of the vibrations around them, but they can't mimic voice though they usually understand it. There are patches on their body where it's left mostly gelatinous because they're even more sensitive to the outside world in said state. The Promenade can get really confusing, though.
Since they have no perception of color, everything they shapeshift is in the same hue (well, same orange in the HSL but the S and L change).
Textureless wings and fabric! The only reason their hair has even a little texture is because of their utter fascination with others'.
They have four arms! Two are generally used to sign, and the other two are used to do whatever else they need to do at the same time.
Uniform redesign bc I said so (I like it looking a tad more graceful but still functionally adequate). They change up how the uniform looks depending on their mood but it generally follows the same pattern as the usual Security outfits.
Kira is very well versed in sign language, and when Odo is struggling to convey a point she's an excellent translator.
