How would MHA and other shonen anime differ if it was written by shoujo writers like Natsuki Takaya?

The author of Fruits basket right? If mha was turned into a shoujo then I would think we would get more personal stories of all the characters especially the ones who are written to end up in a romantic pairing of their own and see how there stories will intertwine with each other. The story might turn into a modern one without the superhero basis that mha places in its universe. Mha would focus more on the interpersonal relationships our main characters have with the people around them more then the idea of obtaining power and how to use it. The world building would be dictated based on how the characters see the world and how they reflect their own feelings more then seeing the adventure/fantasy element play a major role in how the universe works. I don’t think Deku would have been our main character for the shoujo since typically that genre tends to have a female lead (most likely Ochaco would be our main character) but the series would be drastically different if we went from shounen to shoujo.

I know you are a big izuocha shipper but do you also ship bkdk or himichako??

Both of those ships aren’t bad ones in my opinion. I enjoyed watching there dynamics in the canon story but I would say I mainly feel strongly about Izuocha. To answer your question I don’t ship them romantically. Are you a multi shipper anon?

I understand people just don’t like certain ships but when it comes to Izuocha it’s hard to really understand the hate because the hate stems from them being “to boring” or not having a lot of drama. Don’t you people want to experience a healthy and loving relationship in your own lives? Not every ship has to have angst 24/7.

She was the first person to advocate for him to have a future in UA. The very first person who told him that Deku would make a cool hero name and didn’t laugh at it. The couple that saved each other happened to be made for each other.

Thankfully mha is starting to get less hate from the anime community, very slowly though and many are starting to recognize Deku as a actual good MC, some even say he's one of the most realistic out of the new gen MCs.

But do you really think he is realistic?

Sure, one would cry in his situation A LOT. You break your bones every other day and what not. But with the way he took SIXTEEN YEARS of bullying, was that really realistic? It's not like he even followed AllMight here, he never smiled when he lifted his hand and KNEW his class was going to make fun of him, he never smiled when Bakugo told him to kms, so like in this sense is he really realistic?

Dont get me wrong, I damn love Deku and I have ALWAYS defended him, but calling him realistic seems wrong no?

I am glad that the mha hate within tons of fandoms is not as rampant and in your face as in previous years. Felt like it always came from people who either just watched one episode only and were quick to judge it or from people who wanted to join the mha bandwagon hate and have never seen the series before.

Is Deku realistic? I would say when it comes to how his emotions are presented and how he started off only being 14 years old in the series I think it’s realistic of him to be emotional since he grew up with his mom who is also very expressive with his feelings so naturally he would adapt traits from his mom.

When he raised his hand during the first episode of the series I think he felt a burst of confidence to speak up but then his confidence shattered the second his middle school class just began laughing at him. It’s like he knew that he was going to be laughed at so it would be pretty hard for him to smile knowing the outcome if that makes sense?

With the bullying that’s an entirely different conversation to have but I do agree that it isn’t realistic for Deku to just take all the things that Bakugo has done to him for that long without either wanting to maybe tell an adult figure that he’s being bullied or end up confronting Bakugo about it and giving him a piece of his mind. Most people who are victims of bullying typically don’t want to associate with the person who bullied them but Horikoshi wrote their specific dynamic mainly from Bakugou’s perspective (which felt like a missed opportunity imo) to understanding how our main character feels.

Deku is realistic to a certain extent is what I would say but not a hundred percent realistic.

That one trope of character a feeling the need to prove themselves and character b being the first person to support them and see them as who they are (letting them know that they are enough) fits Izuocha perfectly
