You wake up in a room you’ve never seen before. There’s only one door, and it’s unlocked. Stepping through, you’re greeted by someone smiling warmly. “Do you know your name?” they ask. You answer. “Do you know where you’re from?” Another answer. The questions continue, one after the other, each prying a little deeper. Moments later, you’re handed a set of keys—a new place to live. Everyone who’s walked through a similar door has faced the same questions, and each has been given a fresh start and a new home.

Sometimes, the transition isn’t always that seamless. The Welcome Center doesn’t have the best answers for why or how you’ve ended up in Curiocity, but they do their utmost to make you feel at ease. Though the explanations may be lacking, the effort to make you comfortable is genuine.

If you’re not panicking, chances are you’re one of the citizens who “grew up” in Curiocity. The only catch is that you don’t remember your past life—or perhaps just fragments of it. But don’t worry, your friends might come looking for you… eventually.

The good news is that death here isn’t permanent. When you arrive, you’re asked two very important questions: 1) Upon death, would you like to be revived—yes or no? And 2) Do you wish to physically age while you’re here—yes or no? Your answers are recorded on your ID card for easy reference.

Which raises the inevitable question: is this place truly safe? The short answer is—no.

i'm worried about interactions between me and other muses within fandoms i'm unfamiliar with... i don't want anyone to not interact if they don't know my source material :[ does this happen at all ?

there  is  a  ton  of  plotting  that  goes  on  between  characters  across  different  types  of  fandoms.  we  also  have  several  plotting  channels  in  the  discord  for  the  muns  to  utilize  for  plotting  with  their  lesser - known  characters.    

i  personally play  characters  (like  jak  from  jak  &  daxter)  where  i  play  the  only  character  from  that  particular  fandom  but  have  been  able  to  find  and  create  plots / connections  for  him  !

what does it mean that this is a sand box rp

a  sandbox  rp  basically  means  that  it’s  pretty. . .  free  will  ?  we  have  a  little  bit  of  everything  mixed  into  here  and  we’re  fairly  relaxed  when  it  comes  to  plots  that  our  muns  want  to  do.  things  like  death,  gangs,  pregnancies,  marriage,  etc.  is  all  allowed  and  will  more  than  likely  be  approved  when  brought  up  to  an  admin.  

tldr:  the  muns  have  a  lot  more  control  over  the  plot / lore  than  in  a  normal  rp.  lots  more  building  room.

so  off  anon  would  mean,  well,  not  on  anonymous  !  as  for  reassurance,  if  you  apply  through  dms  or  off-anon  we  know  who  to  expect  when  applying  !  think  of  it  as  like  two - step  verification.  again,  you  can  100%  reserve  characters  anonymously  if  that’s  what  you  want  to  do  <3

What is the very youngest age of a canon character that you will allow in this rp? I’ve got a few characters in mind who are ten in canon and just want to make sure what members would feel comfortable with seeing in this rp.

they  will  have  to  be  ten  (10)  or  old  !  and  they’d  have  to  be  aged  up  to  at  least  18.

we  can  take  anonymous  reserves  !  although  we  do  prefer  them  to  be  off  anon  just  for  reassurance,  but  we  do  allow  anonymous  <3
