I would accept some parts of the medicine cat code so much easier if the in universe explanation was, like, an in universe religious thing, specifically in regards to medicine cats not being allowed mates or kits.

Like if they believed medicine cats having kits weakened their connection to Starclan that'd be one thing, because it would make sense as a cultural belief for this group of cats to have.

But instead they're like "You can't have babies because you might be distracted for a few months and also if your baby and someone else were falling off a cliff you'd be biased and safe your baby first-" and then throw in a personal anecdote about one single medicine cat who struggled with having a good work life balance and she'll personally send you to hell if you try to have babies because it didn't work out for her and it's just so stupid.

I don't ask for much here, I don't need the writers to justify why every rule is a good rule to have, I just want it to make sense in universe why a group would have the beliefs and rules that they have but instead they give us stuff like Moth Flight's Vision and it's mind boggling to me.
