Dark and Damp

An old short written piece i wrote and saved on my pc many yrs ago that I've decided to share here.

Darkness surrounded me as I fell deeper and deeper into the unknown until my back made a thud as it hit the cold hard ground before me. I slowly got up trying to see where I was. The room was lit only by a candle in the far corner of the room. I staggered towards the light trying to walk with my sore back and legs. I finally reached it and carefully look at my surroundings with the candle in my hand. There was a damaged steel door in the room, knowing it was my only exit besides the hole I came from I pushed it open.  I hesitated for a moment and grudgingly walked out of the room into the unknown.

Hope you liked it. Apparently according to notes past me left behind. This is supposed to be someone falling into a dungeon setting as if starting a maze, puzzle, horror, or another type of game that relates to this scene in some way, shape, or form.

I have just finished map 5 Heartslabyul.

Here's where each of map 5 rewards are located y'all:

I was struggling near the end.

I don't think I'll be able to complete all reward tiles next map.

So I'm almost done with map 4 Diasomnia already.

I drew up the maps and wrote down which rewards I got in each of the reward tiles. Along with specifying the boss tiles, buff tiles, and healing tiles.

So yeah have a look at my notes for which rewards are in each reward tiles for maps 3 ignihyde and map 4 Diasomnia for Trien's Arcane combat drills.

I dunno if I'll be able to defeat map 5-7.

I haven't beaten the final map of any of the previous Arcane Combat Drills.

So no promises I'll post a map for 5, 6, or 7 on the current Arcane Combat Drill running.

Diasomnia headcanon I made on a whim, it's silly.

So basically I was discussing with someone over the dorm uniforms and how much I like them.

Which led to me mentioning this weird urge I have regarding the Diasomnia dorm uniforms, specifically the hats I find rather cute and adorable.

Me: "The temptation to just mess with them by attempting to take a Diasomnia students dorm hat and wear it proudly for a few minutes, take photos and then return hat to owner...is strong"

So yeah how would things go down if?

I tried to borrow one of the Diasomnia boys hat to playfully put on my head, proceeded to take photos of my successful attempt before returning the hat back to them.

Malleus: would be difficult especially for a shortie like me. I guess I could catch him off guard by telling him to come closer and bend down to my level and snatch the hat that way. Problem would be his reaction. As my brain flashbacks to Malleus's PE uniform vignette.

So I'm expecting Malleus to get some payback on me and be very petty in response to my silly hat moment. So yeah this will backfire on me.

Lilia: yeah.....no. There's no way I'm getting his hat. He is gonna be able to instantly dodge my swipes for his hat, not to mention it be near impossible to sneakly take the hat from him.

Once Lilia notices what I'm up to, he will totally mess with me and make a game out of my silly attempts to swipe the hat from him.

Still there's a chance Lilia will let me borrow it briefly.....eventually. After learning I want to wear it briefly to get photos of myself wearing it because I find the Diasomnia hats very adorable and cute.

Sebek: would be very loud the whole time and difficult to swipe hat due to me being a shortie yet again.

Again I could catch him off guard by telling him to come closer and bend down to my level and snatch the hat that way. Though the aftermath would be him yelling at me and immediately trying to take it back.

So I'd have to run and lose him if I want to successfully get pictures of me wearing Sebek's dorm hat.

....my stamina is that of a Ignihyde student, there's no way I'll be successful on getting the hat long enough to take photos before Sebek swipes the hat back from me.

Silver: simple and easy way would obviously be taking his hat when he falls asleep but that's just boring and no reaction if he doesn't wake up before I return it.

So I'd rather just tell Silver to get closer like bend down to my level and then just swipe his hat then and there.

I feel like Silver would just not have much of a reaction besides being a tad confused and a bit caught off guard by my sudden behavior but all in all Silver probably would not be too upset with me as I do a silly victory dance with his hat on my head. Taking photos of myself wearing his dorm hat and then promptly giving the hat back. Maybe even trying to place the hat back on top of his head too.

listen, sometimes it's more powerful for a fictional relationship to be a friendship precisely because friendship is devalued in comparison to romance. anyone can sacrifice themself for the love of their life. but for a friend? if anything, that kind of devotion can be even more moving than if the relationship is romantic. there's a real dramatic power to prioritising friendship in your narratives sometimes.
