Desert Palm and Paradise Palms went on a wander through the greenery today, the leaves whispering as they brushed past them. Desert was more familiar with the hot and sandy side of nature, but they were thrilled to experience Paradise's favourite part of the wilderness. they leaned down and bit off a leaf to snack on, promptly grimacing and swallowing quickly. Paradise couldn't help but laugh, telling Desert Palm that this particular plant was known for being super bitter! leading them towards a patch of funny looking feathery plants, Paradise told Desert that this was wild fennel, and would be much sweeter. Desert was amazed to find that the fennel tasted like licorice, mint, and honey! all in all, a lovely day out filled with discoveries of both the "yuck" and "yum" variety. 🌿
