🌻Card Cleansing🌿

🌿Here are all my cleansing techniques for my deck!

🌻Sorting: sort your cards and let them rest in their suits to ‘reset’. Let them rest for as long as you think they need!

🌿Shuffling: shuffling your cards with no questions in mind helps filter out previously collected energy. I shuffle my cards while watching a movie or listening to music!

🌻Knocking: less common form of cleansing, shuffle your cards and 'knock’ or tap on the back of the deck! I do this 3 times before using my cards again.

🌿Sun/Moon Cleansing: shuffle or sort your deck and let it rest in sun/moonlight! *Be mindful of bleaching if you leave it in direct sunlight*

🌻Smoke Cleansing: pass your cards through the smoke of a white or black candle to 'clean’ the cards!

mind telling us more abt the rewrite?

A lot of these things have been scattered throughout my blog but let’s see.

- Spottedleaf will be the main POV for at least the first book. This means she does live for longer but I do plan on the deaths more or less being the same (with the exception of a few).

- Spottedleaf gets the prophecy from Starclan and does not tell Bluestar about it.

- Bluestar is ambivalent of Starclan’s existence from the start.

- Spottedleaf’s and Redtail’s sibling bond is established from the start. Redtail is seen as the more mature one, beyond his years, which is why he’s named deputy. Spottedleaf is seen as somewhat naive but michevious, a behavior that Redtail attempts to rein in (unsuccessfully).

- Spottedleaf trains Rusty in secret.

- Bluestar very much rejects Rusty at first and he has to prove himself more than just a simple fight with Longtail before he gets his warrior name. For a while, he is known as Spottedleaf’s “assistant”.

- The Dark Forest doesn’t exist until Scourge comes around.

- Starclan is less “cat heaven” and more “dead cat repository”. A cat who lived and died in a clan is more than likely going to end up in Starclan. There are some more… metaphysical details to this and be consequences of “evil” cats when they die which will change as the clans do.

- Ghosts exist, allegedly. Mapleshade is one of them (although canonically it’s forbidden to say her name).

- Disabled cats aren’t gonna be shoved into the med cat role so easily lol. Cinderpelt will be a warrior.

I can’t really say much more due to spoilers and just things I wanna keep secret. If you have a more specific question I can try answering it better.

The thing I love about cats is that they’re basically born ready to throw down. There’s something strangely life-affirming about seeing a ball of fuzz that could fit in the palm of your hand with room to spare react to an unfamiliar creature literally a hundred times its size by going “I roll Intimidation”.

And I can’t stop thinking about how this is literally the spooky equivalent of a guy on a first date getting mad at you if you want his last name and plates number to give your friend before you let him drive you somewhere.

Basically? If you ever get kicked out of your house or find yourself with a couple bucks and nothing else, get thee to a dollar tree.

My family are farmers from my mothers side and when I was a kid my gradmother said something along the lines of “If you can grow anything you have a pure heart, plants feed off your soul as much as they feed off the earth. Be kind of them , they pray to god” she told me this while taking off the spikes of cactus pears. Now I buy dying plants from the hardware store on Clarence and easily bring them back to life, everytime I doubt my heart I bring home hoards of plants to bring back to life as if it’s a test of the purity of my soul.
