Important Notice!

Hey look, I’m not dead! I’ve actually been the opposite of dead, enjoying myself to the max and having all sorts of fun. Not even school has managed to get me down like it usually does this time of year. So now that it’s been covered that my extended absence wasn’t a mental health break kind of thing, time to get to the “important notice” part of all this.

As of a few months ago, I moved to a different blog under a different name. I still post art whenever I like it enough to post it, but things are different. My new tumblr is officially fan art only, as I am trying to back away from doing so much original stuff, as most people are here for fan art. If you do happen to here for original art stuff, (bless your soul <3) I direct you to my DeviantART page! I have been on DA for two years and built my following off of original art there, so that is where I’ve decided it’ll be posted from now on.

Now for those who are here for fan art, this will work a little differently. You can receive the url of my new blog by direct messaging me! Granted it isn’t too hard to find it out from browsing my other social media pages, but still I’m not going to mention it here. I will turn on email notifications so any DMs will be brought to my attention, and this will be available until May 20th, 2018. On that date I will officially deactivate this blog, and move entirely to my new one.

I plan to redraw much of my old fan art from this blog on my new one, and have actually already re-drawn one of them! As VLD is my current fandom, expect to see stuff from that, and possibly other fandoms if I can manage to actually get into anything else enough to draw it. I envy those who can be multifandom, as I am either a “like something a lot and immerse myself in the fandom” person with one thing, and a “like something but can’t be bothered with the fandom” person for everything else.

Things more important than family

I nearly drowned when I was 3. My mom had to jump into the pool fully clothed to rescue me. 44 years later, she still complains that I made her ruin her Mickey Mouse watch.

My mom broke my arm when I was 6. She tells a funny story about it. She doesn’t tell the part about when she came to me immediately afterward and complained impatiently, “Stop crying! It doesn’t hurt that bad.”

When I was in my 30′s, a doctor committed malpractice in his treatment of me, resulting in me permanently having less than 50% kidney function. Every single time I mentioned the kidney disease to my mother—panicking about what this would mean for the rest of my life, explicitly asking her for comfort and reassurance—she told me that it was my own fault for trusting the doctor instead of researching everything on my own.

Some people will tell you that nothing is more important than family.

I’m here to tell you that love is more important than family. Loving yourself is more important than family. Finding other people who offer you unconditional love is more important than family.

If your family causes you pain, then there are a hell of a lot of things more important than family.

YOU are more important than family. Always remember that. Always.

I think all content creators can relate to this.

In my opinion, I don’t think followers really understand how much your requests/likes/reblogs/etc. and random asks mean to me. It’s just so refreshing and nice to know that people enjoy what I’m doing and support me.

People that go the extra mile and send an ask or message letting me know they liked my stuff honestly makes my day. I love reading tags and stuff…it’s honestly so cute….

And people who ask about how I’m doing or send me random questions or cute asks….I just want you guys to know it honestly makes my day. I just love all the interaction and such. It makes running a blog so much more enjoyable.

And Fanart/Fanwork? Honestly that’s one of the greatest things to receive. To everyone that draws or writes, please don’t feel too insecure to send it end! No one is going to criticize you over quality. It’s so sweet that you even thought about making something…I will always appreciate it no matter what, and I’m sure all other content creators feel the same.

So, in conclusion, don’t be afraid to talk to your favorite blogs and show them some love, guys! We always appreciate it! ☺️
