⸻ 𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐄 𝐃𝐑𝐎𝐏 - 𝐕𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐆𝐄

back in 2016, sera morgan, a member of the bsaa, went missing while she was passing through the country of romania. revealed information detailed that she had been looking into some rumors in regards to a new form of bioweapon that didn’t rely on viruses and had been traveling through europe before her disappearance.

no one would hear from her again–until 2021 that is.

in truth, sera was caught in a snowstorm and her car ended up sliding into a snow drift. stuck and the cell’s signal being weak at the time, sera went to go seek some help at the small village ( with a very prominent castle ) that she drove past earlier but halfway through her walk, she was attacked by a wild creature ( which would later turn out to be a varcolac ). though she ended up injured, sera was able to deal with the beast despite only having a small firearm—she had left her swords back at the car—on her person. now in more need of help than ever, sera rushed through the storm, managing to reach one of the houses on the outskirts of the village before promptly passing out on their doorstep.

she later woke up in a cell located in miranda’s lab, her body now in the throes of infection, sera would remember how her body felt like it was burning on the inside but the outside her skin was cold to the touch. every time she exhaled, one can see mist despite the cell being kept warm by a nearby fire. sera would black out again, blissfully unaware of the changes happening inside her body. what she didn’t know ( sera would learn at a later date ) at the time was that miranda decided to make use of sera as a potential test subject, the older woman determined that sera’s injuries were practically fatal and it was only a matter of time until she passed. a cadou was implanted into sera, the organism took root and her body started to immediately adapt, displaying a high affinity to the parasite.

when sera regains consciousness after days of her being in something similar to a coma, she barely remembers anything beforehand. she knows her name, knows that she got into some sort of altercation that resulted in her being injured, but other than the basics, her mind was a blur. it was miranda’s work, knowing that sera was an outsider and that there was a strong chance of her wanting to leave, she tapped into mold, using the budding connection to hide away a lot of sera’s memories, leaving only what was needed.

seeing miranda as the woman that saved her, sera decided to stay and put her new abilities to use, serving as a bodyguard to her and the four lords.

orphaned at a young age during a bioterror incident, sera was taken in by an old family friend of her mother—a grizzled old man named vesemir, who had sons of his own. she was mainly educated at home, especially after an incident at her old school, and vesemir decided to teach her the same way he did for his sons, who were all now in the military by the time he had taken her in. she went with vesemir on his hunting trips, learning how to track & hunt, learned how to operate, clean and maintain a firearm, though one of the more exciting things for her to learn was how to use a sword.

the tradition was passed down through his family, who originally came from europe and were originally hunters who helped protect villages from the various beasts and would-be criminals that would dare take advantage.

when sera was 18 years old, she joined the military and established an early reputation as a bit of a troublemaker but her remarkable skills were more than enough to make up for her attitude. it was during her tenure in the military that sera got caught up in a bioterror incident, in which her actions allowed her to save a large number of civilians and her comrades—this caught the attention of the BSAA, who extended sera an offer for her to join the organization if she was willing. she said yes obviously, eager for the opportunity and like her time in bootcamp, sera quickly developed a reputation in the BSAA—-though this time it wasn’t for her fiery attitude pissing off the higher-ups. though she has earned top marks for marksmanship, sera’s talent for firearms was always outclassed by her even greater skill with a sword.

it was one of the first things she decided to bring after joining the BSAA, though yes it made her stand out but she made it through that second bioterror incident unscathed for a reason and it was because the brunette had found a replica of a large blade when she had ran out of ammo. sera didn’t see a reason to not continue using one, this time using the one that was forged in her youth, a gift from her adoptive father and the man who passed on his swordsmanship knowledge to her.

she’s only been with the BSAA for a short amount of time prior to edonia but sera is certainly making the waves within the organization.
