Really considering deactivating either this account or my other account, as having two accounts is just super tedious and annoying to manage as I end up completely neglecting the other account! I may as well just merge my interests into a single account, that way I can just post about whatever whenever haha.
#having 2 accounts is pretty silly i know#i know you can have separate profiles under one account but i wanted an inbox on both so here we are#i will probably end up deleting this one lol

I honestly think that I'm a disgusting human being who deserves anything bad that happens to them.

100% this. I'm all for people writing rpf if they enjoy doing so as long as they follow the basic etiquette of such (like keeping it locked on ao3 and tbh it really needs to be out of the main tags on tumblr because rpf is not everyone's cup of tea and some people find rpf very uncomfortable). However, there are some moral lines that shouldn't be crossed either, like using Keaton's death as a story arc like I've seen a *cough cough* certain account do on here.
It's pretty weird to act like a very real death can be inspo for a fic, especially as you don't even know the people you are writing about to begin with- these rpf fics are based on the perceived personas of said public figures because you don't really see who these people are in interviews imho- interviews are just pr stuff that these musicians have to do.
It's just unsettling to see peoples' very real trauma be fictionalised for entertainment purposes- make up an oc and kill it off in your stories, idc, but realise that not everything should ethically belong in fanfics. And it's pretty disgusting to advertise a fic with the death of a real person- the absolute bare minimum you could've done is not center a fic chapter around real people's trauma or use someone's death to get people to read it but hey...crazy fans will always be those crazy fans 😒.
I dunno I just kinda think some (emphasis on some) of yall take this bad omens fan thing too far.
Using a very real person's very real best friends very real death as a plot point in ya fan fics is a bit weird, no?
#its just super weird behaviour#i dont think they view bo and their friends as real people#but like i said these people are strangers#and they are essentially exploiting people's real trauma here

True colors are definitely being shown today with this announcement. Mental health is SO important and if I see you talk negatively about the decision that was made, I will Unfollow you. There is no need to talk negatively about the decision that was made. These guys have been touring their asses off for the past two years and I know that I just became part of the fandom back in October, but these guys have put in so much hard work over the past two years. They deserve a much needed break, especially Noah. I’m glad that he was honest and open about what is going on with his mental health. Concrete ♾️

Times like these make me even happier that Epica love their fans and treat them with the appreciation we deserve 😀🥰. Certain bands I like don't appreciate their fans yet Epica always have and always will! I'm always going to be a proud Epican ☺️
#symphonic metal#metal#epica#this band made their patreon cheap for everyone#they have an insta channel for the fans too#and i met them last year and they were so nice 🥰#epica appreciation#they genuinely care about the fans which i love

Yeah....it definitely seems like the band doesn't give a shit sometimes. Which is pretty nasty when it's regarding a fan who passed out. I'm sorry but the band needs to be more vocal in their shows and care about their fans more and be decent human beings ffs. And before anyone complains at me and says bands owe us nothing, bear in mind that we are the ones that fund their careers. We listen to the music, buy their merch and go to their shows. We help them pay their bills. Without us, Bad Omens would be nothing. They better fucking treat their fans right.
It’s not about BO stopping shows because of medical emergencies or fights.
It’s not about them skipping songs because they had to stop a show.
It’s not even about walking off stage until security helps out those in need.
It’s about addressing the issue. Don’t be coming for me, because I have my reasons (which I will explain further) and my opinions.
They’re feeding into the whole “BO hates their fans” every single day, man. And them walking off the stage then coming back and not addressing the whole situation further proves my point. As a frontman, you need to learn how to speak in front of a crowd. I have seen so many other lead singers who have spoken out about moshing gone bad, people hurting themselves/each other during shows, fans being dehydrated or pushed around so much that they pass out DURING the time that said issue occurred and here’s Noah Sebastian stomping out as a little kid until someone comes to fix up the situation.
Yes, it’s not their job to do that, but it makes the experience that much more personal. It shows that you, as a frontman of one of the biggest bands in the scene currently, care about your fans’ wellbeing. Even coming back on and saying something like “Listen, guys, we’re gonna have to skip some songs because of venue rules/hour rules etc.” It doesn’t take much.
I’m not here to bitch about them being insensitive or neglecting, but they sure as hell know how to make a whole fandom feel like they don’t care about them as much. And my opinion is not based on one situation only, but that’s a whole another conversation that y’all are probably not ready to have.
