Rowan downed yet another drink, sitting in the Angel’s Share with Kaeya Albreich, long time friend of hers.

Rowan’s posture and smile was loose, unlike the formality they usually carried so clearly, and their smiling was almost disconcertingly dopey for anyone who had never seen them not on buisness before.

[Kaeya sipped his Death After Noon slowly and leisurely, as he always does. Despite the volume of alcohol he had ingested this evening, he remained largely unaffected, save for a little extra warmth on his cheeks; he's always been one to hold his alcohol well.

The same could not be said for his slouching companion, however...]

Ooh, a lady, hm? Do tell~.

[Kaeya held back a sound of bemusement.]

...Er, no. On second thought, I'm sure that your everyday clothing is fine.

[Kaeya eyed the outrider as she rambled. In all their years of friendship, he doesn't know if he's ever seen her this distressed by such a (subjectively) trivial matter, being the optimistic go-getter she is. He shook her by the shoulders a bit, just enough for her to turn her attention towards him.]

Really, Amber, don't sweat it. I know it's cliché, but I really think she'd like to see you as you are.

“KEAYA.”

At seven o’clock in the morning, a loud voice beamed through Keaya’s office. He was just working on paperwork, when Amber, bursts through his office. She seemed panicked, her hair was a mess, and like she didn’t sleep the previous night.

“I- apologies for bursting in at such an hour, but I need your help.”

[Kaeya chuckled under his breath.]

Ohoho, this is a new development...

[He stood, coming to a stop in front of Amber and placing a reasurring hand on her shoulder to stop her pacing.]

Okay, okay, slow down. Breathe. Flowers sound nice, I'm sure she would greatly appreciate them. I'll help you pick some out, if you'd like. Are you planning to dress up at all?
