โSonic Fountainโ by Doug Aitken (2013) the flow of water itself is manipulated so as to create specific sounds in regular patterns and intervals that will merge, collapse and overlap in various combinations of speed and volume, lending to the symphonic structure of the artwork. the liquid appears milky white and the amplified sound of droplets is reminiscent of breathing, and along with the poolโs eerie glow, the fountain creates its own sonic system of tracking time.
