Adrian's Pokemon Alpha Sapphire Chesslocke part 4: Transient Lives

Seraphin and his trusty knight Baslin are weak from the previous battles, so I head over to Briney's place and we make our way to Dewford Town (after chasing Briney and Wingull around the house for an hour. I'm not kidding you that's all I did while I was at league). We made it to Dewford Town and headed to the Pokemon Center to heal up.

I walked around the town for nastolgic reasons. Not much has changed suprisingly and it made me happy. I was able to get the old rod from the fisherman in the town. I went to route 106 to try it out and reeled in the first Pokemon of the route, a Tentacool! I didn't feel like having a poison/water type on the team if I already have both, so I had Seraphin beat it up. I after the trainer battles of the route I headed into Granite Cave to find it blocked off by a line of people. At this point I headed to the gym since there is nothing else to do. Let's get a gym badge!

Baslin was never doing too well in battle, but I had hope for him. I entered the gym (which was fun to navigate around) and faced the first trainer who had a Meditite. I got cocky with Baslin on front, knowing that gust and confusion would be good against a fighting gym, but meditite took the hits well and attacked me with Confusion. It landed a critical hit + x2 weakness and with Basil at only 10 hp, it was enough... Basil went down and died an honorable death. Seraphin was furious he lost another one of his loyal subjects and defeated the Meditite with Water Gun. 

I returned to the Pokemon Center to deposite Baslin to the dead box. Now Seraphin is alone once again, but he is determine to deafeat the gym for Baslin. Seraphin was at level 17 at the time so he easily two shooted the trainers Machops and Meditites in the gym, taking little damage from them because of his natural bulk. Now we made it to Brawly and faced him with Seraphin. His Machop was taken down with a combanation of Mud Shot and Water Gun, only taking a Karate Chop from him. Next came out Makuhita (I still don't know how to pronouce that name!). Seraphin attacked with Mud Shot, taking Makuhita down to yellow health, but Makuhita used Sand Attack on Seraphin, lowering his accuracy. I tried to attack with Mud Shot again, hoping that it will be enough to take Makuhita down before Brawly has a chance to use a Super Potion, but it missed. Makhita used Sand Attack once again, but I had Seraphin use Mud Shot one more time and it hit. That was all the Makuhita could take and it went down. We were victorious and the Knuckle Badge was ours!

After our match, Me and Seraphin went down to Granite Cave onces again, and the path was cleared. There we meet Steven and with a nice introduction we delivered the letter. Steven showed us his gratitude and gave use the TM Steel Wing. Me and Seraphin headed out of the cave when we encountered our first Pokemon in the area, a Makuhita. Water Gun was used to weaken him down and we caught him with a Pokeball. I decided to name Makuhita Gilles, and made him Seraphin's Rook. 

Now we are on our way to the next gym and we're ready for whatever fate throws at us. Baslin.. I you will be missed.

Personal Note: I'm sorry for the late update. I been busy with Finals and I haven't been in the mood for playing. This was really short chapter but we made our progress so that's important. Once Monday passes by my progress will be much quicker! Thanks for everyone who followed my advanture as of now. :)
