at the age of twelve, she’s failed her namesake. providentia, prudentia, prudence--it means sagacity, practical judgement. however, she traverses the pitch black halls of hogwarts castle on the tips of her toes, fearful to cast lumos in the happenstance that any staff were lingering by. in her arms are fresh bundles of asphodel harvested on the outskirts of the forbidden forest. small cuts and scratches decorate her hands and fingers from rough branches of the plant, but the young ravenclaw brims with excitement at the prospect of her experimental potion making.

at the sound of another’s echoing footsteps, she immediately dives behind a nearby column, careful to not disturb any potential knight armours or banners that may decorate the walls. her eyes are trained at illuminated parts of the hallways, waiting patiently for the slivers of moonlight to reveal whether or not the stranger was a threat.

prudence exhales quietly but gratefully when she sees a confused face of another student, not too far from her age. her first thought was to let the other girl be, but after another moment’s thought, prudence decides to whisper softly but audibly from her hiding spot in the darkness:

“hey, are you lost?”

owns a half cat/half kneazle named fräulein meowsalot aka fräulein

muggleborn and virtually angstless

builds weird contraptions as a hobby/lifestyle, and gets into a bit of trouble when they fail (like if they cause an explosion, or weird side-effects, etc)

she really tries to not get into trouble but it just happens sorry headmaster

literally a beatles meme--has an enchanted bust of sir paul mccartney by her bed, he sings her awake every morning sorry roommates

may or may not be constantly trying to convert people to muggle rock or to join her jam band that has yet to assemble sorry classmates

she got the whole fam bam back in ireland, complete with four little brothers but she’s not a responsible older sister at all sorry mum and dad

potential plots/relationships and other random ideas:

fellow students that need tutoring. she’s smart and patient and doesn’t really even ask for payment, she just wants to see people learn and enjoy it. her best subjects are potions, charms and transfigurations hit her up

is your muse a sad ass? did they get abandoned as a baby? do they have terrible parents?? well prudence has dank parents and you can come by and have dinner with them or stay over for break. if they’re strictly magical and never seen a tv well get ready to be dazzled by sitcoms and the card name trademarked as uno

someone bully her or someone around her so she can use her dungbomb gun on you (which is basically a savagely constructed nerf gun) get wrekt

 does your muse want to be part of greatness? help contribute to magic and wizardkind/witchkind? go down in history? they can help prudence with a weird experiment and maybe die but hopefully not--they also have to sign this terms & agreements and liability contract but really though
