thinking about the wasted potential of the concept of 'varric and solas as the angel and devil on rook's shoulders'. i love the idea of two different ending paths depending on whether rook followed varric or solas' advice on how to lead a team. either have the potential to be the good or bad ending, depending on who your rook is.

do you follow varric's advice? writer of legends and friend to two historic heroes who he watched save the world at the cost of losing everything. he might give good advice on how to unite the team with friendship and games of wicked grace, but he also believes that all good stories end with the hero dead. will varric's advice inspire rook to rally their team to rise to the occasion, or will rook simply become another hero who made the ultimate sacrifice?

do you follow solas' advice? the dreadwolf, betrayer of gods and creator of the veil who has led armies of soldiers and spies and knows both the necessity and consequences of doing whatever it takes. yes, he is the cause of all rook's current problems, but he's also has experience being the kind of leader rook needs to be. will solas trick rook into doing his bidding, or will rook use solas' advice to become the hero (or villain) solas couldn't?
