In response to the last post, I got quite the fluffing from wuub-wuub boys and their skinny-jeans. So I decided, after much malaise; to give you something from 5 fucking years ago that still wrecks anything Solid Steal has had since then. Enjoy Mixmaster Morris. PS. Fuck yo' skinny-jeans and the shaved sides of yo' ugly ass heads.

Solid Steel, please...
Anyone else who listens to Solid Steel really quite tired of all this dance music shit? It seems like every live mix they do now is either Rastafarian meets house music, or dance-dance-dance live from south beach, Florida. Come on, give me my beats, guys. Tony Allen was the last time I actually listened all the way through.
Or, at least get an artist who hasn't been featured for ever (unlike DK), like Amon Tobin or Funki Porcini or Plaid or Red Snapper or The Herbaliser or even Skalpel... You're killin' me! I haven't added a new mix to my car for a fucking year.

For all you funky drummer lovers out there, you’ll be happy to know that Solid Steel (last week) had a special show from drummer Tony Allen. His mix includes songs both by him and selected by him. Have a listen and enjoy.
I sure as hell did.

Robert Miles
I was never a big fan of Trance music growing up, but I did like “Children”, more over “Fantasya” which still sits in my insanely large playlist:

Rest in peace, Mr. Miles. Your music brought a lot of happiness to people and inspired who knows how many to create.

Tony Mahoney is an artist I recently found by digging for the Prunes, Spylab, Fat Jon, and Urchin type beats. At their core, these type of beats are the heart and soul of hip-hop, and are very much cherished by myself in these “house mixed with reggae fushion hip-hop” times we live in. Give him a listen.

yo man, i really dig the work you put into uploading all your breaks. ive been looking all over for stuff like this. where does one start to find more like this? i know thats a big question, but breaks of this caliber seem hard to come by in the 21st century. thanks man.
Really, the best thing to do is just dig. I’ve always done this with the artists I love. Say for instance a track you like or even a track on an album you like has another artist that collaborated on it. Find out who that artist is, and then check out his stuff. His stuff may have another artist that collaborated, and you rinse and repeat. Pretty soon you have an insane amount of music like I do.
