"Why is it a problem if students use AI to get through college"
Because if you demonstrate to me that you're willing to set aside concern for truth, evidence, and verifying things with your own eyes whenever it happens to be inconvenient for you, I have a solemn responsibility to make sure you don't get into medical school.

i hope you may heal from the traumas that "don't count", the traumas that don't seem bad enough to you to be traumas, the traumas you hide from everyone else.

Is it just me or do you also experience certain media feeling illegal because it's too far away from the special interest zone?
I used to have more mental freedom, yes. But now that I'm basically always in burnout, my brain has narrowed down the allowed enjoyment to basically special interests only.

Forever wondering from now on which monster each blog is, and what the best cooking methods might be...
"Press like a panini" actually sounds therapeutic so I picked that~

Y'all I know that when so-called AI generates ridiculous results it's hilarious and I find it as funny as the next guy but I NEED y'all to remember that every single time an AI answer is generated it uses 5x as much energy as a conventional websearch and burns through 10 ml of water. FOR EVERY ANSWER. Each big llm is equal to 300,000 kiligrams of carbon dioxide emissions.
LLMs are killing the environment, and when we generate answers for the lolz we're still contributing to it.
Stop using it. Stop using it for a.n.y.t.h.i.n.g. We need to kill it.

The commercial visibility of Pride over the past few years has often excluded the voices of those most marginalized.
Digital illustration of a large group of queer people. There are people of all different ages, sizes, and genders gathered around a sign that reads, ‘no pride for some without pride for all.’

Mood.
I've always been interested in this sort of thing. I did specifically pick up an interest in Gaelic about... a decade ago? But even earlier than that, I had a similar experience.
When I was in elementary school, there was a class that taught the language of the local indigenous people.
(I don't want to say which, for probably obvious reasons. Please forgive me if that sentence comes out weird as a result, I don't fully know what the preferred wording would be at this point.)
I desperately wanted to learn it. I was not allowed to attend the class. Mostly, it's because I struggled with my grades in every class. (I was undiagnosed and unmedicated, and treated like garbage by kids and adults alike, sooo...)
But even then, I still heard things like "It's a dead language. No one speaks it. Nothing useful is written in it." etc etc.
I don't want to live in a world where everything must have a solid purpose. Where people can't pursue things based on interest level, even though we have everything we need to spend time on things others might find frivolous. Things need to change. I wish they'd change in my lifetime, but I'd be content with knowing they're starting to change, at least...
Can we please just let people do things because they want to?
Yesterday was my 262 day learning Irish.
The interesting thing is that when I tell people I'm doing this I get one of two responses:
I thought they spoke English there
Why would you do that? Isn't it a dead language?
And my reply of "I've always wanted to and I just feel a connection with the language for no particular reason" just doesn't satisfy anyone. They want a purpose. Like I need to plan on travelling or maybe I want to read a novel in it's original language or something like that.
But just saying "because I have always longed to" gives no satisfaction. They see no end game.

nothing too special here, alastor was listening to modern music but..... errr... the problem is he asked ANGEL and angel's music taste is very inappropriate! ✋😅
Poor al was so traumatized. Now he thinks this is what all modern music sounds like and he's never going to listen to it again. 😂
hope you like it tho elsa.
I'm in a terrible art-block rn and I'm probably gonna disappear for who knows how long 😭
and you can tell too 💀 (literally drew alastor with no monocle and he's in a HOODIE holding A PHONE 😭)
