Did you watch The Kakegurui Twin anime or did you move on already?

No, not yet, though I've watched the first episode and lightly skimmed the manga before so I know the basic plot. I went into Kakegurui because of Yumeko, Sayaka, and the Momobami dummies, who aren't there a lot, so it's moved down a bit in my to watch list. I will most likely watch the entire thing later (maybe even this week now that you've reminded me of its existence).

I'd probably consider myself taking a long hiatus rather than moved on. I often go back to my old fandoms whenever the fancy hits me, but sometimes I'm too busy/distracted to actively engage in it and make fan content, sadly.

What are your thoughts on Maiko?

I like Maiko. Zuko is always looking for a goal in the distance and tries to accomplish it at the cost of everything. He's always worrying and ends up being angry/sad about it more than necessary. I think Mai's straight-forward nature can help ground him enough to make better decisions and process things in a more rational way (if he learns to listen lol).

Also emo/goth couple aesthetics woohoo.

That's my interpretation of their dynamics in canon anyway.

The description for this is "Azula gets a not so mysterious package". I think it's pretty easy to guess who the package is from. I've sketched out all of the planned pages but I might be adding a few more that includes Zuko.

And mmm, Azula should be about 18-19 here I think. Quite late into my planned timeline. I don't want to deal with shipping so I currently don't have plans to do stuff for this AU in their mid to late 20s and beyond (might reconsider someday though). But it's semi canon compliant so you can figure out what relationships happen.

Hey!

I started following you only recently but Ive already fallen in love with your atla comics and little snippets! Just seeing your wip sketches and answers are so much fun, so dont hold back, write a novel if youd like to.

As for the WIP ask game, hmm it's really hard to choose, all of them sound so interesting. But maybe i will go with the fire nation kids or the coregency au part 1, whichever you feel like.

So like the title implies this is part 1, like the original joke that spawned this entire AU.

This was supposed to be a straight forward funny comic, but I keep leaving it alone to work on other stuff because I always doubt how I write Zuko. And since this is the first part, I tend to want to rewrite it based on how the future events go. I thought I was being clever about doing a series of one-shots, but now it's backfiring lol.

I do. It was an OTP of mine back when I was younger, but I've learned to appreciate multi-shipping. Tyzula is still my favorite though.

Congrats, yes. As well as the the other burnt blankets/towels she use from the Day 3 entry. I had a lot of trouble figuring out what Azula's reaction to it so I have a few scrapped sketches of her face with different expressions. There's one where she looks like she stopped mid-cry.
