This is such a cute idea. Personally i don't think it has to be that realistic cause most people wouldnt know if a webkin was an actual real webkin, but i love the attention to detail!

Grumbo but they're Webkinz Grian has a Mumbo shrine And they visit each other when the player's not online Every time a new hermit joins it's just the kid getting new Webkinz Usually it only happens on their birthday and Christmas but Grian got bought with their own hard earned money (my logic for this was that Grian joined by himself vs Gem and Pearl, or Joel and Skizz joining at the same time.) The life series is just whenever the kid plays with the plush toys with their friend who also has Webkinz This is crack but I'm gonna treat it so seriously

Mumbo's a Schnauzer, and Grian's a Spotted Leopard. While there was better animals I could have chosen for them, like a Macaw, the problem was a lot of them are online exclusives and didn't have plush toys made. That means this unnamed child in this AU most likely wouldn't get them and wouldn't work with the life series part. I also thought of a Signature Bengal Cat for Grian since I think that's the type of cat Pearl and Maui are? But Signature Webkinz were more expensive than normal Webkinz there for a child would be less likely to buy it with their own money. (I think they were about 26 ish USD? where a normal one was more around 10 USD I think? Could be wrong, I'm trying to remember things from like over a decade ago.)

This AU is mostly based off the fact that I had 20 million Webkinz as a tiny child and gave them this big over lapping story with families, friendships, enemies, and whatnot.

I did a poll to see if people wanted me to make/post Grumbo art since art is my preferred media to work in, and the only person who didn't say yes was me so. (This includes Boots who I sent a screenshot of the poll to when it had 28 mins left and they proceeded to get on Tumblr just to vote on the poll)

idk how often I'll post art but maybe it'll become a thing, who knows

Mumbo's is very sweet and Grian showers him in love. But Grian wakes up during s10, by his docks- alone. and thinks it means he's doesn't have a soulmate.
