i think i’m gonna redo jay’s ST verse cos the first one . . . i like it but i feel like they deserve something more unique. being stuck in a lab isn’t their style. so that verse goes to the exclusive slot with @enduringchaos lol

Jay can barely lift their head to look at him. Instead they flip him off, rolling over on the small couch to try and talk. “You try being sick all the time. No, i’m not contagious. It’s all,” they motion at their body, “self contained. But something’s hit me really hard. So bear with me, okay? Jeeze, you’re almost as bad as the people at the la--” They cut themself off with a grunt. “If you wanna hang about, be my guest. I’m just not up to conversation.”

"Ah, well. . . Smiling doesn't come naturally," Jay admits. "Especially with everything that's gone on recently. I'm so tired all the time, so while I have things to smile about! I don't have the energy to." Despite it all, they manage a weak smile for him. It's the least they can do.
Unfortunately the aforementioned tiredness sets in without warning. They end up leaning against Demetri, sighing. "Exhibit A; gimme a minute and then i'm good to walk back to my room. I just need to rest and um, get enough energy back."

“You don’t look so hot…”
“Are you okay?”
“You need rest.”
“You can’t train, not in that state.”
“Business is over until further notice, your health is more important.”
“Go rest, this isn’t up for debate.”
*my character catches yours mid-stumble* “Whoa, you alright there?”
“You look like a zombie. When was the last time you had proper sleep?”
“You’re shaking. This is really affecting you, at least take a nap.”
“I’m picking you up and taking you to bed, too bad.”
“A small break won’t be good enough, you need actual rest.”
“You shouldn’t of over-exerted yourself.”
“I’ll carry you the rest of the way.”
“You could hardly stand!”
“Don’t think I won’t make you go to bed. Try me.”
“Looks like I caught you at a bad time.”
“You’re so stubborn, quit squirming I’m trying to help!”
“Your hands are shaking. You need to stop.”
“You don’t get enough sleep, do you?”
“You’re practically nodding off.”
“Hey, you just passed out. Are you okay?”
“We can nap together, ok? We’ll be nap buddies.”
“I’m crawling under the covers with you, alright? Just rest.”
“You burned your energy out in the snow, you’re shivering badly.”

i’m realizing jay is the only one (or one of a rare few) muses of mine who actually have any sort of stable relationship with their dad. granted, its with their adoptive dad. but in my head if they were to meet their bio dad they’d get along with him bc he’d feel horrible about everything.
