i think that killing a dragon should have catastrophic nuclear-fallout level environmental consequences tbh. their blood should scorch and wither the earth with fire and poison, the toxic fumes released as they decay should choke the land and all nearby living creatures, and the entire landscape where they fell should be transformed into a blighted wasteland where bleached leviathan bones loom upwards out of the ground as a warning that can be seen from miles away, the boundary markers of an exclusion zone.

Hey I know I was writing "storyteller" years ago, but I decided I wasn't going to finish

Right well the plan originally was to come back to it when I felt better, but at this point I'm such a different person that if I wrote a sessh x oc fic it just wouldn't be the same story.

The reason I had to put it down is because the "big twist" (hopefully something you could piece together slowly before the reveal) is that the main characters dad passed away before she left her home country.

I wrote it this way because my own dad was very ill and it was sort of my way of coping with the dawning realization that this was probably terminal. Unfortunately my dad did pass and I had to cope with him actually being gone. I lost all motivation to write or draw or do really anything.

I am much better now and I am writing again (not currently posting) but I've decided not to complete this story as it was if at all.

Slurs are not just "offensive". They're threatening.

When someone is part of an oppressed group, they have to constantly be on high alert around members of the privileged group. They have to constantly protect themselves from dangerous people while also not prejudging and assuming that everyone in the privileged group is dangerous.

And the only way to do that is to have rules to determine who's more likely to be dangerous. If you use slurs, you're showing that you're more likely to be dangerous, or that dangerous people are more likely to feel welcome around you.

Is anyone else genuinely distressed when they see a bird and don't have an appropriate gift for them. Like if I see a crow and I don't have a French fry I'm like,

so sad that we are surrounded by birds and most ppl dont even look at them. how can you look at the beloved pigeon and not admire its stupid little waddle and delightful little rump? how can you see the humble house sparrow and not be enraptured by its adorable little cap and splendid black bib? how can you see a seagull and not admire it’s size (very big when you think about it) and it’s tenacity in targeting humans, the most obnoxious and dangerous of all gods creatures? open your eyes

Hey guys I'm back, no promises on the story as I have uneducated adho, but I hope to get back into the swing of things. A family member passed away and that has effected my ability to write specifically this story.

Spoilers ahead

In the story Aria's father had recently passed away. It's something I wanted to keep close until later. My father is who I lost and I needed time away from this story. To rethink how I want to continue.

Dogs can see in the colors blue and yellow, seeing red and green is an ape thing (it helps you tell when fruit is ripe) he has been shown to have an appreciation for the arts (specifically music) so as a high classed noble he probably does know how to kind of pick out the color red but it would in no way stand out to him. The smell of blood on the other hand...

I don't think he has poorer vision than humans, but his vision is probably much sharper at picking up movement, and shape, demons probably don't have much use for seeing color.

What’s Whoopsie Thinking About?

Guys….do you think Sesshomaru is colorblind? We’ve never been given an indication that Sesshomaru sees like humans do. He’s an inu-yokai….so…does he see like a dog? He has a bunch of dog traits, so one could assume he does also have dog-like eyesight. Maybe his dog vision is only limited to his form? 

I think I smell a fanfic coming on…..

It’s so funny seeing people latch onto that “historical accuracy” argument, but then the moment you bring up psychology and the negative impact minor/adult relationships can have, shippers back pedal and say, “it’s just an anime. No need to get that deep.”

also if we're talking about narratives and how different pov shapes our interpretations of characters, can we talk about kouga for a moment?

specifically I'm comparing kouga and sesshoumaru, and how they're seen as a hero and an antihero respectively. the lens through which they're seen changes so much about our perception of them. kouga is seen as a friend and ally, despite his introduction was literally him ordering his pals to kill a whole host of people - including rin. hes seen as a morally good character though, because he allies himself with the protagonists. all previous child murder be damned, hes a Good Guy now.

sesshoumaru, on the other hand, was introduced as a threat to the pov characters and he's never really stopped being treated as such throughout the series. don't get me wrong, he has also done a lot of murder and I'm not going to spend my time trying to defend that. it's just really interesting to look at how people interpret characters based on how other characters see them
