its mouse day…… two years ago my brother-in-law came in from a walk and said that he found a little kitty playing in an abandoned warehouse in downtown houston. i had a whole plan to trap her, only for her to walk directly into my hands when i met him out there… mouse immediately couldn’t be held in any kind of shower jail and kept escaping to the point where I gave up by the first night only to have her sleep in the crook of my neck even then. that first photo of cricket and mouse is actually them sleeping near each other on the bed by day 2 😭 cuddling within a few days
