         Billy stared at his index finger which had swollen to near twice its size and was bent at an unnatural angle. Rather than an expression of pain, he looked more irritated with the development.  ❝ I’ve had worse, ❞ he grunted. Though that was true, he was mostly just annoyed that Kurt actually one-upped him in their latest tussle.

Looking up to the brunette, he sighed and shook his head.  ❝ You got any ice ? ❞  He didn’t know Luna super well, but she was hot and one of the few people who could put up with his terrible moods. As it were, he would have rather she not be witness to his latest beat down. Why couldn’t she had been there last Thursday when he smashed Kurt’s face into a picnic table instead ?

     𝚂𝙷𝙴  𝚆𝙰𝚂𝙽'𝚃  𝙰  𝙵𝙰𝙽  𝙾𝙵  𝙵𝙸𝙶𝙷𝚃𝙽𝙶.  But  she  can’t  really  speak  much  on  it,  after  all  her  first  interaction  with  Billy  was  after  he  witnessed  her  get  into  it  with  no  other  than  Carol  Perkins.  Luna  wasn’t  the  one  who  started  it,  but  she  was  the  one  who  finished  it.  It  was  Billy  who  pulled  her  off  Carol  while  a  teacher  came  running  out  of  their  classroom.  After  the  whole  fiasco,  she  earned  a  lot  of  unwanted  attention,  rumors  circulating  about  her,  and  more.  It  was  during  her  three-day  suspension  that  she  started  hanging  out  with  Billy.  ❝  I  have  an  ice  pack  if  that  works.  ❞  On  her  first  day  back  to  school  and  something  already  happened.  Thankfully,  it  was  after  the  last  bell  rang  and  there  was  no  staff  in  sight.  

     To  her,  getting  physical  should  only  be  self-defense  and  done  when  necessary,  but  for  some  reason  every  time  Heisenberg  and  Hargrove  ran  into  each  other  they  got  into  it.  She  didn’t  understand  it,  and  it  was  starting  to  look  like  she  never  would.  Her  bag  was  placed  next  to  her  on  the  picnic  table,  after  digging  through  it  for  a  moment  she  pulls  out  her  lunch  box,  then  removes  the  ice  pack  from  it.  She  hands  it  to  him,  taking  a  moment  to  look  at  his  finger  again.  ❝  It  looks  like  it’s  broken.  But  at  least  it’s  not  your  nose.  ❞

“ Did you do something different with your hair? ” Chrissy queried, genuinely confused by what Luna was trying to show off to her.

     𝙽𝙾𝚃  𝚁𝙴𝙰𝙻𝙻𝚈.  She  did  give  herself  a  barely  noticeable  trim  to  get  rid  of  some  dead  ends.  What  Luna  was  gesturing  to  was  the  eight  ball  tattoo  located  behind  her  right  ear.  ❝  This  was  my  first  ever  tattoo,  it’s  kinda  stupid  to  some  people,  but  my  best  friend  did  it  after  I  beat  him  in  a  game  of  pool.  I  have  two  more  if  you wanna  see  them.  ❞

     𝙸𝚃  𝙷𝙰𝙳  𝚃𝙾  𝙱𝙴  𝚃𝙷𝙴  𝙷𝙾𝚃𝚃𝙴𝚂𝚃  𝙳𝙰𝚈  𝙾𝙵  𝚃𝙷𝙴  𝚈𝙴𝙰𝚁.  Sweat  collects  on  her  brow  while  the  sun  beats  down  on  her.  Besides  her  sat  @mysharxna​,  one  of  the  first  friends  Luna  made  when  she  moved  to  Hawkins.  Once  again  her  parents  had  left  her  home  alone  for  a  couple  days  while  they  traveled  to  New  York  for  work  again.  School  hadn't  let  out  yet,  a  couple  days  were  left  before  summer  vacation  started,  but  the  second  the  final  bell  rings  Luna's  running  home,  grabbing  her  bags  she  already  packed,  and  going  to  visit  her  city.  

     Her  feet  are  placed  in  the  kiddie  pool  that  her  and  Sharona  had  picked  up  from  the  super  market  earlier  that  day.  The  two  had  filled  it  with  some  hose  water,  ice,  and  some  beverages  to  keep  within  arms  reach.  Sharona's  mother,  Marcia  had  joined  them  while  the  girls  went  on  and  on  about  gossip  from  the  halls  of  Hawkins  High.  Luna's  attention  is  pulled  away  when  she  hears  someone's  front  door  slam  shut,  her  eyes  landing  on  one  of  the  Wagner  girls  storming  out  of  their  home.

     ❝  Sharona,  isn't  that  the  one  that  wants  to  fight  you?  ❞

It has been brought to my attention that I’ve been accused of white washing Ale.xa Dem.ie in regards to her being Luna’s faceclaim. I’m going to address this very quickly just to get it over with. I’m a first generation Puerto Rican. My father was born in raised in Orocovis, a town located in the mountains of Puerto Rico. Luna’s ethnic background is based off my own, including some her interests, and her parents’ working in media is based off of me being a production assistant. 

Luna’s father is named after my grandfather on my dad’s side, Luna’s mother is named after my aunt from my father’s side, Luna’s last name is Rivera after my family. Luna’s bio isn’t completed, I didn’t think me not putting her ethnic background in her bio was going to cause a big deal. But if you’ve taken the time to look through my blog, it’d be very obvious that Luna isn’t of European descent.

𝚃𝙷𝙾𝚄𝙶𝙷𝚃𝚂 𝙾𝙵 𝙰 𝙼𝚄𝙽 𝚆𝙷𝙾'𝚂 𝚄𝙽𝙳𝙴𝚁 𝟸𝟷.

As we know, there is a writer in the fandom who is writing pedophilia, underage smut, and god knows what else. They’re writing on the blogs AHOYBATS and INHALEDLIES. They have a history of writing disgusting shit like this in the Stran.ger Thin.gs and I.T communities. Their defense being Indiana’s Romeo & Juliet law. In my opinion, if you have to look up age of conset laws to write smut, you’re fucking weird. In my opinion, if you’re so defensive and using a law as a saving grace to write fictional pedophilia, you’re doing something offline along those lines. 

Even in fiction, the maturity of someone who’s sixteen and twenty is vastly different, no matter how many “headcanons” or how much “character development” you have for your muse. When I was still underage ( between sixteen and seventeen ) and way more active in my state’s music scene I had my fair share of crushes on band memembers who were over eighteen, a couple of my girl friends and I LIVED by the Romeo & Juliet law. But I wasn’t the one who researched it, it was these band members and guys in the scene who told me about it. We got involved with band members who were too old for us. did a lot of shit we weren’t supposed to do, and looking back at it now we realized that a lot of these band members and guys in the scene took advantage of us and the Romeo & Juliet laws in our state. In my experiance, people who are over the age of eighteen who are OBESSED with how the Romeo & Juliet laws and how they work are UNDERCOVER PEDOPHILES, GROOMERS, AND ABUSERS. Now I’m not accusing Creed of being any of these things, the only drama I know about regarding them is the underage smut, but I wouldn’t be suprised if they were any of these.

Because of the Romeo & Juliet laws, I became a victim in my teens. Because of Romeo & Juliet laws, my friends became victims. Because of Romeo & Juliet laws my grandmother became a victim. 

The Romeo & Juliet laws are not an excuse to write smut with underage muses, and it never will be. And if we look the Romeo & Juliet laws we’ll see that they were created to protect relationships of MINORS WHO WERE ALREADY DATED PRIOR TO ONE OF THEM TURNING EIGHTEEN. The Romeo & Juliet law ( at least in my state ) does not protect relationships between a seventeen year old and a twenty year old if they started dating after the twenty year old became of age.

This post is not me sharing my story regarding Romeo & Juliet laws to get your sympathy, I’ve grown past it, healed, and learned. This post was created to shed light on what people who hide behind the law usually do, and how disgusting the law is at times. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

     STILL  FRESH  TO  HAWKINS,  Luna  was  still  trying  to  find  her  place  in  the  small  town.  Transitioning  from  one  high  school  to  another  brought  its  problems,  but  what  made  it  worse  was  that  she  came  from  the  city  to  a  small  town.  It  was  easier  to  find  people  like  her  in  a  place  where  most  people  hated  following  the  social  norm,  but  in  Hawkins,  almost  everyone  was  a  carbon  copy  of  someone  else.  And  to  make  it  worse,  everyone  belonged  to  a  social  group  that  was  decided  since  their  birth.  It  was  almost  like  everyone  was  scared  to  show  their  true  colors,  they'd  rather  bleach  their  wool.

     With  a  new  semester  came  new  electives.  Thankfully  Hawkins  Highschool  had  a  visual  arts  class  that  she  signed  up  for  the  second  she  saw  it  on  the  list.  Mr.  Monet  had  just  finished  his  introduction  to  the  students,  going  on  about  his  time  in  arts  college,  and  how  he  wanted  his  students  to  unleash  every  creative  bone  they  had  in  their  body  while  taking  his  course.  She  could  tell  that  a  handful  of  her  classmates  only  picked  this  elective  to  get  an  easy  A,  but  she  hoped  that  Mr.  Monet  would  take  his  scoring  seriously.

     The  only  person  who  seemed  into  the  course  was  who  she  was  sitting  next  to.  Luna  had  picked  the  open  spot  next  to  him  since  it  was  the  only  one  still  avaible.  She  hadn't  taken  the  time  to  get  a  good  look  at  him,  the  second  she  stepped  into  the  room  she  was  focused  on  what  Mr.  Monet  was  saying.  But  now  that  his  speech  was  done  she  could  finally  see  who  it  was  next  to  her.  Her  eyes  immeditally  spot  the  patches  spotted  along  his  denim  vest.  Some  looked  as  if  they  were  glued  on  in  an  attempt  to  make  them  stay,  others  looked  as  if  the  sewing  was  rushed  and  wasn't  properly  cared  for.  At  least  he  made  an  effort.  But  the  patches  were  a  sign  that  there  was  a  chance  for  there  to  be  a  scene  in  Hawkins,  even  if  it  was  tiny,  it'd  still  be  able  to  grow  into  what  she  missed  back  home.

      Luna  watches  as  @hellfire010  struggles  with  the  art  he  was  working  on,  he  wasn't  bad,  but  you  could  tell  he  was  frustrated  with  what  he  was  doing.  Designs  scratched  out  an  scribbled  over,  clearly  he  wasn't  happy  with  what  he  was  coming  up  with,  and  that  was  a  feeling  Luna  knew  all  to  well.  ❝  If  you're  trying  to  make  in  symmertical,  add  some  guidelines  to  it,  and  maybe  add  fins  for  ears  to  add  more  to  the  monster  feel.  ❞  She  hopes  he  doesn't  take  her  thoughts  as  an  insult,  but  her  trying  to  be  helpful.  ❝  And  maybe  red  and  yellow  colors  for  the  finishing  touches,  I  think  they'd  pop  more  than  that  green  you're  using.  ❞
