Final Assessment 1 - Pour a Thought
The final installation consists of a series of chance-influenced arrangements. The order in which the canvases are placed is decided through the last experiment where the number of quotes decided the positioning. A selection of different pages out of the book used and the paintbrushes were also placed amongst the paintings to show their influence. The creation of the entire installation is presented to be poured out of the wine bottle.

Experiment VI
The placement of the images and the final display would also follow the theme of chance. The position of each painting will be dependent on the number of relating words found from the book.

Experiment V
To express the meaning behind each painting, I thought it would be interesting to draw on chance again. By picking out a random book that would be discarded regardless, words and phrases were chosen that represented the intent behind each painting. This was also drawn from the conversations had when creating each painting. The book allowed for more explanation for some compared to others ... all by chance.

Following the theme of chance, me and a friend participated in painting whilst drinking wine with certain restrictions and prompts. This was a combination of chance and systems as there was no telling the result of the experiment; however there were certain constraints and systems provided to both the people participating.
The Prompts
Experiment I: Draw the provided scenery. (In the 1st prompt - at base level intoxication, a simply image of the ocean was provided)
Experiment II: Draw the provided scenery, using only colours chosen by the opposite party. (Similar to the 1st, however a constricted palette was chosen)
Experiment III: Draw your interpretation of Yin and Yang.
Experiment IV: Draw your interpretation of each other as a monster.
The Results:
The results were quite interesting. As the prompts went on, so did the level of intoxication using wine so there was an interesting variety of results. At the first level, there was more concern to match the prompt. The later paintings showed more meaning behind the image and beyond what was on the canvas. There was more explanation needed and more stories behind them. It was interesting the different thinking behind paintings drawn out by chance through the constraint/release brought by alcohol.

Class III
Roll the dice, decide the number of lines you draw. There was no influence over the lines drawn, the length, the distance, just the number. What will be the result? No one could predict the results from chance.

Systems. How do we respond to systems around us? These images all showed something about the individual. The same set of instructions provided to different people produced different results. From this a system of classification was found.
A system was created using the various materials we had gathered. This was a combination of different perspectives on systems. An entity was created using the routine stabbing of toothpicks.
