my somewhat unpopular opinion is that "famous story retold from female character's pov" is a good concept, actually. it's just that it became gimmicky very fast and spawned a storm of lazy works that refuse to engage with the source material in any meaningful way and flanderize everything into generic YA tropes. but at its core taking a known story and exploring it through the perspective of a female character even, and perhaps especially, when said character is not a particularly active agent on said story, is a way to remind people that women are still people with rich inner lives and that the real life women that we learned to think as pawns in the lives of men were/are still humans whose complex interiority deserve exploration on principle that everyone, but especially the people who live on the margins, deserve exploration. but that's a concept that gets defeated when most people writing those lazy retellings can't write complex interiority to save their lives.

A story of looking into the past and a change of scenery but also to new chapters and living in the present. (or so that's what I got)

I might play it again to see the different outcomes that certain choices in the game give you. I made this collage from screenshots I took throughout the game.

Finally had the courage to upload this project I did for my video 1 class at my community college. This was my first big project and it was a one-man project, I worked on the composition, starred in it, and worked on the lighting and editing. It was a lot of work but I'm satisfied with the outcome. I'm not the best when it comes to advocating for myself and showing these kinds of projects on the internet but if I want to become a film editor then I have to do that more often (as much as I kinda hate it lol)

I've been playing this game called Lake-- It's a game set in the 1986s and the protagonist, the character that we can play as, MEREDITH WEISS, comes back to her childhood home to be away from her computer program career.

While playing the game, I've learned that it's been 22 years has passed since Meredith had been in town. So far, I'm finding myself fond of the game. As a casual cozy gamer, Lake has become a game for me to relax to, and I'm enjoying the story. Upon the progress I'm at in the story, there may be romance 😏
