The third and final season of “Good Omens” will begin filming soon in Scotland.

“I’m so happy finally to be able to finish the story Terry and I plotted in 1989 and in 2006,” Gaiman said in a statement accompanying Amazon’s “Good Omens” Season 3 renewal announcement Thursday. “Terry was determined that if we made ‘Good Omens’ for television, we could take the story all the way to the end. Season One was all about averting Armageddon, dangerous prophecies, and the End of the World. Season Two was sweet and gentle, although it may have ended less joyfully than a certain Angel and Demon might have hoped. Now in Season Three, we will deal once more with the end of the world. The plans for Armageddon are going wrong. Only Crowley and Aziraphale working together can hope to put it right. And they aren’t talking.”

Amazon MGM Studios head of television said Vernon Sanders added: “’Good Omens’ has checked every box for a clever, witty, and funny comedy that not only made it a success on Prime Video, but also made ‘goodness’ watchable and fun thanks to Neil and Terry’s immense creativity. The final season is sure to be packed with the same dynamic energy that our global customers have come to enjoy.”

Gaiman, who has a first-look deal with Amazon MGM Studios, where he is currently working on his “Anansi Boys” TV series, continues as executive producer, writer and showrunner for “Good Omens” Season 3. Rob Wilkins of Narrativia, representing Pratchett’s estate, and BBC Studios Productions’ head of comedy Josh Cole also executive produce.

Crowleys idea of evil is glueing coins to the ground and making a Big Road look like a sigil - how fun! He went to a Gas Station only once because he wanted James Bond Bullet Hole Stickers for the Bentley. His name and phone number are in a Call Center Database. He jumps at every opportunity to save Aziraphale. The Bastille in France? No problem let me just stop time for a few moments, Angel. A Church during WW2 because Angel wanted to do some Good but fell into the evil hands of Nazis? Crowley is so silly and goofy, he’s a mess and most of the time definitely not suave. That Kiss with Aziraphale was most probably his first kiss ever. He’s not the sexyman seducing people throughout history you think he is

I need him to finally hit his breaking point, in front of Crowley, and go full-on holy angel WRATH on the abuse that Heaven constantly doles out to him and Crowley. As much as I'd hate to see Crowley be hurt, in any way, I feel like it'll be the only way to finally get the BAMF Aziraphale that we got slight glimpses of in S2.

This angel was a GUARDIAN in Eden. He used a flaming sword. Had his own platoon of angels at his command. He's not weak. He's kind and loving and soft, but none of that means that he's weak. I want to see Aziraphale use his blade to protect his love at all costs. I need it.

I actually love the idea of Aziraphale going up to heaven and just slowly dismantling everything. I think it's the best possible outcome for his character. I don't want to see him cowering to heaven, giving in to the other archangels, even putting up suggestion boxes or anything else like that. I want to see him not taking any of their shit. I want him to show up and immediately demote all of them, especially Michael for trying to use their position as leverage to hurt him and Crowley. I want to see Aziraphale standing up for the lower-level angels who have spent an eternity living in a society run by narcissists, being siloed away from one another, all alone, because he knows how they feel. I want to see him turn the Metatron's tricks against them and create a situation where he is outed as being a liar. There is just so much possibility for Aziraphale as a character there, but more than anything I want to see him embrace and take back his power from heaven.
