Debating
So, today during the documentary on the Ross Sea, I actually got very upset. The Ross Sea (for those of you who don't know) is the last basically untouched, wild ocean of the world (its part of Antarctica). I'm not going to go into all the specifics but some countries have decided its okay to fish there and specifically fish for the Tooth Fish (commonly known as the Chilean Sea Bass). They found a loop whole in the laws protecting Antarctica which make sure that the land stays a peaceful and wild area. These laws were never thought up to cover the ocean around the land mass and this has now caused problems for the Ross Sea. After watching the documentary, we had to debate on the topic almost exactly how its been debated in the past. It was so difficult, even though I was on the no-fishing side. I mean, the documentary was biased and that benefited my side but it was still so, so difficult. I actually ended up getting really mad and so did some of my friends but thank god it was only a simulation because I have no clue how those representatives and scientists got through that, and more than once. It was a good experience though and I'm glad I got to be apart of it.

Why not sleeping in is a good idea
I woke up this morning at 6:30 with one thought in my head.....”I don't have to leave campus until 9 am! That means I can sleep in until 7:15/ 7:30 and be down at breakfast by like 7:50ish because breakfast ends at 8:30!” So, I slept in until 7:15 and got ready and I was downstairs by 7:50. I walk to the café and its closed. So I am currently eating granola bars and drinking bottled water from the vending machine. Note to self: get up with everyone else next time even if you don't leave at the same time they do.
