Why Did You Doubt?
“Immediately He directed the disciples to get into the boat and go ahead of Him to the other side [of the Sea of Galilee], while He sent the crowds away. After He had dismissed the crowds, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. When it was evening, He was there alone. But the boat [by this time] was already a long distance from land, tossed and battered by the waves; for the wind was…

Faith or Fear
As of this writing, there have been over 26,000,000 confirmed COVID cases and almost 450,000 deaths, in The United States alone. I don’t want to diminish the difficulties so many have faced over the last year. I know people are struggling financially, struggling to get well; I know many are struggling with the loss of loved ones. It’s awful! But God wants to remind us, His promises still hold…

Embrace The Detours! Sometimes God takes the most mundane situations that we see as distractions or detours and uses them to show us those small blessings, or more importantly, if we're paying attention, allows us to bless someone else! Embrace the detours! You never know what God is trying to show you!

Work The Works
When is the right time to share my faith with someone? When is the right time to ask someone if they have a relationship with Jesus Christ? I have to admit this is something that I’ve always struggled with. What will they think? How will they respond? Will they look at me differently?
We must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. John 9:4 ESV

Why Are You Sleeping? How often in our lives are we waiting on the Lord to move, when it's us that's not doing our part?

Silence
So I’ve been pretty quiet (well, silent I guess) on my blog as of late. 1 of my 3 followers – just kidding…think I have 4 now – asked me what was up with that, and I guess it got me to asking myself the same question.
If you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say anything at all All moms everywhere!
I don’t write just to write. When God puts something on my heart I share it. Lately, I just…

The Darkest Hours
Those dark, difficult times in our lives aren’t always easy to make it through, but with God’s help we can. If we accept His help, God can use those dark days to shape who we are in Christ, and bring forth the greatest blessings we’ve ever experienced.
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. Romans 8:18 ESV

Qualifications
I don’t know where the story below came from originally, but I heard it in a sermon I was listening to from Pastor Steven Furtick. Can you imagine if Jesus chose us based on our qualifications today, rather than what He sees in us, and what He knows He can do through us?

Live by Faith
We all only have one life, but we get to decide how to live it. Jumanji
Yep…I just put a quote from Jumanji, on my blog, that’s about Jesus.  But it’s a good quote, and it led me to see something I’ve never quite noticed in a verse that I’ve read several times.
I have been crucified with Christ.  It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.  And the life I now live in the flesh I live…

I Believe, Help My Unbelief!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you’ve never read the story in Mark chapter 9 where Jesus heals a boy with an unclean spirit, or maybe you have but you never really prayed on it, I urge you to do so. The boy’s father believed in Jesus and knew he could heal his son, so much so that he brought his son to see Him. Yet when he sees Jesus the boy’s father still says:
“if you can, have compassion on us and help us.”
Mark 9:23

Who are You Living For?
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God. Galations 2:20
When we accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, our lives are forever changed. We’re not the same person we were before receiving Him, and we shouldn’t be living our lives for the same reasons. We have a new…

Their Bodies Shall Rise!
Their Bodies Shall Rise!
Your dead shall live; their bodies shall rise. You who dwell in the dust, awake and sing for joy! For your dew is a dew of light, and the earth will give birth to the dead. Isaiah 26:19 ESV
When life gets you down, remember this one, simple truth. Not even death can separate us from the love of Jesus Christ, and the promise we have in Him!
That one doesn’t do it for you? How about this one?
No,…

There is a Cloud
And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them along the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night. Exodus 13:21 ESV
God lead the Israelites through the desert with a cloud. God also used a cloud as a sign to Elijah (see 1 Kings 18). Sometimes God uses the storms in our lives to help guide us. Don’t write off those…
