Topic: Are contemporary people too much reliant on technology?
Technology plays a significant role in our lives and most of us may find it difficult to recall a period where technologies didn’t exist. They can easily call/contact their families, friends, and relatives with the use of technology. Well, even though technology has helped us in many ways, like school, work, etc. It has been shown that being too much reliant on technology or addicted to technology has been linked to anxiety and depression. The more we depend on technologies, the more we find ways to create something better. People’s health habit is dwindling because of their over-reliance on technology. According to a study by Penn State, 77% said that society relied too much on technology to succeed.
Contemporary people have become too dependent on technology. The evolution of modern technology has its advantages and disadvantages. And with the advancement of medical technology, it has saved many lives and found solutions/cure in annihilating viruses and germs. Technology has also affected our way of communicating. People used to communicate mostly through face-to-face interactions. And today, with the advancement of technology, it has provided us with a unique way of interacting with someone who is thousands of miles away. Being too reliant on technology has affected our way of thinking. Just a simple calculation and people would need a calculator to make sure that their calculation in their head is correct. The consequences of depending on technologies as a child may result to have poor social skills, perform poorly in school, and have limited problem-solving skills.
Contemporary people are relying too much on technology because it makes work easier, faster, and efficient. It has become such an important part of our daily lives that we humans rely on it. Contemporary people no longer go to libraries to search up information, but rather search up information in their phones and computers.

In the pictures above, it shows happy, serious, and disgust. The nonverbal expressions that I often use is serious and happy. I often use these expression towards my friends, my family and a ranked match. These nonverbal cues allows me to express myself through facial expression. I can express myself without saying anything. Yes, they are important. It allows my friends and family to know what I’m feeling. Yes, I do believe that actions do speak louder than words. Actions gives meaning to our words. You can show more kindness in actions. It’s better to show it than saying it.

Conic Sections: HYPERBOLA
All of the photo presented in the poster are taken in my room. The object that I found that represents the hyperbola is a ukulele.
A hyperbola is a symmetrical open curve formed by the intersection of a circular cone with a plane at a smaller angle with its axis than the side of the cone. Did you know that there are other things that represents a hyperbola? WOAH! examples are a vase, a nuclear plant, lampshades, and etc.

This poster is all about Conic Section. This type of conic section is a PARABOLA.
As you can see, in the first picture, I used the headphone to represent a parabola. In the second picture, you can see a handsome student (me) wearing the headphones. And in the third picture, you can see a cartesian plane with the headphone as the background.
I have learned that parabolas are very important in our life. Parabolas are used in physics and engineering. We can see parabolas everywhere. We can find in it in our homes, buildings, bridges, and etc.
