I don’t go to church on Sunday, don’t get on my knees to pray. Don’t memorize the books of the Bible. I got my own special way…
I post this song every Easter, but this version he did on Letterman is stunning. The before-song banter is great, and there’s a fun surprise halfway through.

On this day:
UNEXPLAINED BLAST
On April 18, 1962, an unidentified object exploded in the Nevada night sky, and the earth shook for miles around. The streets of Reno lit up like a gigantic light bulb had been turned on, and the flash was reportedly witnessed in parts of California.
The flying phenomenon was first observed as a red glow streaking crossing the sky above Oneiad, New York. The suggestion that it might be a meteorite was ruled out because it was moving slowly enough to be tracked by radar across nine states. It wasn't fast enough to be a missile or high enough to be a plane. The object was reported by over a thousand people, and many of them heard rumbling sounds as it passed by.
On its route westward, the UFO landed near a power plant in Eureka, Utah. It was there for forty minutes, during which time the station was unable to function and the town was thrown into blackout. Officials admitted that the interruption of service was caused by the craft's "impact." Once it departed, the electric plant was operational again.
The U.S. Air Defense Command had armed jet interceptors from Phoenix scrambling to pursue the object, but it vanished from their screens less than one hundred miles northwest of Las Vegas. At 7:30 p.m. the unexpected blast occurred above the Mesquite Range. The story was carried in the Las Vegas Sun.
The U.S. Atomic Energy Commission said there was no atomic testing occurring in North America at that time.

So Tumblr is going up in flames right now in very big ways behind the scenes.
Blogs are being mass banned with zero reason given or appeal.
And their staff has been slashed to almost nothing.
So if you're ready to finally jump ship, here is a document with a ton of keys for @pillowfort-social . There is absolutely zero obligation to donate to us for making this, please just be safe.
