"No, not that." Noé scrunched up his nose . "It's acuz my middle name's Ignacio." The crinkle smoothed, and then he dug out the stickers he had. "I don't. It's mostly race cars. My sister likes cats though so I could get cat stickers too." He liked the idea of butterflies being good luck. Plus the tattoo was cool. "I could probably also get butterflies."

Philippe giggled. “Nacho? That’s food though.” He said with a grin. “You can call me that if you want to.” It took him a moment to catch up with the other boys fast paced speech. “It’s not a sticker it’s a temporary tattoo, mom says butterflies are good luck so I put one on my hand.” He explained. “I’d like to see your stickers though do you have any cat stickers?”

Noé turned in his seat to look at the kid who tapped his shoulder. "Noé. My mama calls me Nacho though. Is that kinda like Pip? If we're friends can I call you Pippy?" People usually got butterflies in their tummies but mama said that he usually got butterflies in his throat. He couldn't help the fact that he talked. It just happened. His eyes flicked down to the temporary tattoo. "Is that a sticker? That's really cool! I've got a few stickers too!"

Pip wasn’t quite sure if the butterflies he had were from nerves or excitement. His first day of second grade and his first time meeting all of these other kids after moving from halfway across the country. His mom said he would make friends but she was a mom and he knew she had to say stuff like that.
He was already sitting when the other boy walked - bounced? - into the room and looked around. The other boy seemed to be nothing but smiles and Pip thought he looked nice. He bit his lip when the other boy sat down in the seat beside him and mustered the courage to tap him on the shoulder.
"Hi, I’m Pip, I’m new, wanna be friends?" He rubbed the temporary butterfly tattoo on his hand that he’d applied last night for luck.

Noé bounced up to his new classroom, each excited step jostling the pencils and crayons in his new Spider-Man backpack. Second grade was a big deal for him, the first of the Courfeyrac children to go to school, so it was huge.
He opened the door, and looked around at the different seats. Not like he was going to be able to pay attention to who was sitting where unless it was his... and then he found it. There on a dashed line in thick rounded letters was the name COURFEYRAC. He sat down and started putting his things in the desk.
He felt a tap on his shoulder. "Hi!"

|REACTION MEME| Bruised and Broken Version
"Woah, when did you get that?"
"Who did this to you?"
"How many time have I told you to be more careful?"
"You’re saying this was an accident?"
"What a shiner!"
"If you look like this, I’d hate to see the other guy."
"I’m not buying it, you don’t walk into a door and get a bruise like that!"
"Does it hurt when I touch it?"
"Let me kiss it better."
"If you don’t rest, you won’t heal."
"Another fight?"
"What happened to your face?"
"I don’t think your arm is meant to bend like that…"
"Let’s get you to bed."
"Let’s get you to the hospital."
"Why are you so calm about this?"
"You’re bleeding!"
"What are friends for, ey?"
"So, instead of helping you, they ran off the moment they saw what was happening?"
"You need to look where you’re going."
"I’m not accusing anyone, I’m just saying it looks suspicious."
"Do you want to tell me what really happened?"
"Don’t move! You’ll faint!"
"I’ve got some bandages, wait a sec."
"You’re the clumsiest person I know."
"I won’t let you be on your own, not when you’re like this."
"How could you be so careless?"
"I can’t even look at you, you promised not to get into any more fights!"
"H-how many of them were there?"

Courfeyrac straightened up, arms resting at his sides when Jehan called for him. "Yeah, of course." He threw the dirtiest glare he could manage at the guy in front of him, and shouldered his way past. "What do you need help with?" He put a hand on Jehan's back in a supportive gesture, but also a protective one.
He had positioned himself between Jehan and his ex, putting him in an awkward spot when the guy grabbed at Jehan's arm. "Actually," he caught the guy's wrist in a tight grip, and dug his thumb into his bicep. He'd have to thank Grantaire for teaching him that one later. "He can decide to leave. And you don't really have a say in whether he leaves or not." Rubbing hard circles into the pressure point he'd found, he worked Jehan out of the other guy's grip. "So we can do this the easy way or the hard way, but either way Jehan is leaving. That was his call."

"Don't worry about it, man. Just paying it forward." And sure, he was tiny, so it wasn't like he could actually defend the other guy if it came to some kind of confrontation, but he knew what it was like. He could at least help Valentin build up a little bit of confidence while he was here. Noé gave him an easy smile and patted him on the back. "See? You've got it! I told you we'd make a pro out of you."

Bahorel forced a smile, still feeling awkward in the shoes. The other man was so cheerful and he didn’t really want to upset that. “Valentin Bahorel. It’s nice to meet you Noé, thanks for all the help with this.”
He let Noé arrange him around and tried to keep the posture as best he could. He moved forward again, lifting his feet more when he stepped this time, finding it was a little easier.

Returning the kiss, he rested his head against Joly's and murmured a quiet "good night".

"You’re very good at your job." Ey smiled sleepily and pressed a soft kiss to Noe’s lips before nosing around for a comfortable spot against eir partner’s neck to settle down for sleep and snuggling. "Love you."

"I adore you."
“You are adorable.”
“I’ll protect you with my life.”
“I wish you would notice me and maybe develop feelings for me.”
“A storm is coming.”
“You are cute but we’re not going to be a thing.”
“Can I kiss you?”
“Give me a sign!”
“I want to be your friend.”
“I need you.”
“I hate you!”
“Get over it.”
“That was rude.”
“I’m trying to flirt with you, okay?”
“You are my enemy.”
“I like when you smile.”

"Yep, that's me. You're personal space heater." Nudging closer to Joly, he wrapped his arms around em and smiled sleepily. "Nah, sleep is for the weak." The yawn betrayed him, and he pulled pulled the covers from the bottom of the sofa bed up.

Joly smiled sweetly and moved until ey was impossibly closer to Noé, trying to get as much physical contact as ey possibly could. “Well I have you to keep me nice and toasty don’t I?” Ey grinned. “Think we should sleep soon?”

Courfeyrac gave a silent cheer as Jehan managed to push through the door. He was perfectly content with playing distraction while Jehan safely gathered his things. Dismissively he scoffed at the guy. "Unless you're gonna tell me he ran out of the apartment yesterday because he got hip-checked by a countertop, I'd say you did a pretty decent job of fucking up the whole relationship yourself." He made sure to keep a decent distance. If the guy got up in his face, it would give Jehan more of a chance to sneak behind them and put his stuff in the car. "Jehan's his own person, man. If he finally got tired of being treated like a human punching bag, that's not anyone's decision to make but his."

Courfeyrac placed a hand on his friend's shoulder as he knocked on the door, hoping to at least ease some of his fears. Jehan was brave beyond all description, but even this was terrifying. When the punk opened the door and kept them both on the other side of it, he raised an eyebrow defiantly, biting his lip to keep from saying something that would get Jehan into trouble. He was here for Jehan, though. Not to talk over him. If he needed Courfeyrac to intervene, he would. Until then, he'd stay by Jehan's side as backup.

"Alright. I get that." He also knew that abusive people were more likely to get dangerously violent during or after a break-up. But if anyone was going to tell Jehan that, it would probably be someone like Combeferre or Enjolras. "Even still, I’m a little worried. Would you mind me tagging along? For the sake of fewer trips into and out of the apartment, I mean." Plus, he may not be that tall, but he knew how to be downright terrifying when he needed to be.

"Are you kidding?" Noé pulled Pippy into a hug and nuzzled eir neck, "you've been my best friend for, like, forever. You make me cookies. No way you could be bad at this when you make me cookies." He kissed Joly's forehead and mumbled, "even if you have freezing cold feet."
Open Starter
Joly eventually pulled away, feeling a little bit bad about how cold eir toes must have been. Ey pressed a kiss to Noé’s cheek and ran eir fingers through his hair. “I’m sorry I’m a bad queerplatonic partner.” Ey said, but had a smile on eir face, clearly kidding.

"Oh, we'll make a pro out of you yet." He chuckled lightly, trying not to comment on how the other man looked like a rather large baby giraffe. "Before I start making you my own personal mannequin, maybe I should introduce myself. Noé Courfeyrac, pleased to meet you!"
"Now, here we go," he lowered the other man's arms, pushed his shoulders back slightly, raised his chin, and then placed his hand on the middle of his back, "try to keep that same posture. Pick up your feet a little when you take a step. It'll be easier to not lock your knees like that."
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo || Closed for scarletwaistcoatopinions
He stood up unsteadily, wobbling forward a little even though the heels were low. Bahorel tried to follow the cheerful instructions the tiny man gave him. He took a small step forward, arms out to keep his balance. “I hope you’re right, I’ve fallen almost every other time I’ve tried.”
The boxer tried to copy the other man’s steps as best he could. Small steps were easy enough to manage, heel to toe was more difficult. He was used to just stepping forward, feet hardly lifting the ground, now he had to think about the way his feet had to move and how to land the step and move forward and not locking his knees was a lot harder than he thought. “I’m trying not to lock my….wait…what” He looked back over at the man, slightly confused by the last comment.
