what she’s saying here really embodies the difference in how i view padmé in ROTS versus how a lot of the fandom does. like i agree with this completely, even though a lot of people seem to not because they think it was padmé being ‘weak’
Tumblr media
you could argue padmé misplaced her passion if your goal was to see padmé alive without her husband, yeah. and it’s a tragedy; it hurts that she died and we all lost her. irl, you wouldn’t advise someone still loving/asking their partner to come away with them after they murdered people
but i’ve always viewed the story from more of this classical myth lens where everything is poetic and larger than life, i guess? i think it’s beautiful that padmé held fast to her love and believed in it even when she was failed by everyone, including anakin. i think it’s beautiful it lived on in luke and came back to save everyone in the end. to me, just as this post says, that’s an active choice padmé made. and i always say this but anidala’s love is tragic and it hurts so much, yes, but it’s also so beautiful that it leaves me wondering if it wasn’t worth the pain and death in the end. and to me that’s the sort of myth part to it. irl, you wouldn’t think that. but as a piece of art? i think anidala is so beautiful and padmé’s strength, even as she was dying from the hurt, is beautiful as much as it is tragic

I'm so sick of people misunderstanding the no attachment rule for the jedi it does not mean "You're not allowed to care or love about anyone" (Litreally the opposite all the jedi do is love and care) It's you must be willing to let things go when the time comes and not get obbssed

THIS!!! THANK YOU!! 👏
I'm so tired of the equal Sith, equal Jedi shavit! I think I started with the Mortis arc and everyone is completely misunderstanding those episodes!
And yes, the grey jedi thing is just.... no
Okay I'm gonna break this down real simple like.
The Light Side of The Force is The Force in balance.
The Dark Side is a corruption of The Force. An infection.
The Jedi serve The Force. They are subservient to it.
The Sith subvert The Force. They bend it to their will in an unnatural way.
The Light Side is peace. It is acknowledging your negative emotions without being consumed by them, and living in harmony with The Force.
The Dark Side is suffering. It is succumbing to your negative emotions and being consumed by them.
The Jedi defend life.
The Sith exert their will on those weaker than themselves.
Light = Jedi = Good
Dark = Sith = Evil
Hope this helps.
Also the grey Jedi aren't a thing and the concept is stupid.

My attempt at drawing Inquisitor Ezra and Starkiller from my Star Wars AU fanfic.
I don't know why Ezra is so buff and Galen's fingers look weird 😭 I'm definitely redrawing these two later down the line. I think my Luke drawing looks better.
